Miyajima

On the day after the speech contest, we got to go on a day trip to Miyajima and Hiroshima with the students of Okayama University of Science.

As it would be a 3 hour long bus ride to Miyajima from Okayama, we gathered early and had breakfast in the bus.

Here's what we were given:

Yakisoba bun

Peanut butter sandwich

Hokkaido butter chocolate bread

3 types of bread!!! Plus a mineral bottle and a pack of juice!!!

They were really generous with the bread! I was seated next to Trang-chan, so I shared all 3 buns with her.

This was an epic moment for Kha as it's his first time being this close to the Ocean. He comes from Nepal, hence, no sea!

Soichiro-san, who took many pictures that day.

Our lunch set! Really yummy tempura with karaage....I ate everything!

Everyone mingling around happily!

After lunch, was the ferry ride!

Spot Itsukushima island, or more popularly known as Miyajima!

Finally~!!! :D

Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! I always see it on TV but to see this with my own eyes was amazing!

Shika playing around with each other

Apparently, they eat papers and even clothes!

Loving the view~

Happy moments with the girls~

Group shot before we separate into groups~

Here we were, digging our wallets to look for 50yen because they have a hole in the middle and were supposed to be good for prayers.

It was noon and it was low tide, hence the mud underneath was exposed and we can walk towards the torii,

Picture moment~

One final group pic as we waited for everyone to gather~

The whole bunch of us on that day, with Kohara-san snapping our picture.

This is like the prime spot for taking pictures with the torii.
