Ueno Science Museum

I've always wanted to visit the Ueno Science Museum and hence was really happy when a friend invited me to go.

The entrance fees for adults is 620yen.

First up was the dinosaur exhibit which reminded me of the one in Panasonic Centre in Odaiba when I visited more than 10 years ago.

The next one was on Biodiversity. I like these as you get to see many beautiful plants and animals in this one.

Then there's the Animal of the Earth which was amazing too.

Then this is from the History of Japanese Islands.

While the exhibits are stunning. My favourite would be the Theater 360 which is a movie theater in spherical 3D. The viewer stands on a bridge surrounded on all sides by a seamless sphere of video. Hence, the movie visible in all directions 360 degrees around. Such a great experience, but you do have to queue quite a bit for it. Would definitely go back for it!

We didn't have much time in the Museum as we only had about 2-3 hours. So if you want to really explore the different exhibits properly, make sure you allocate more time for the museum.
