Koto-ku exploration

Met up with C at Monzen-Nakacho station to explore the area together.

First stop - Fukagawafudodo (深川不動堂)

An interesting shrine due to this building right next to the shrine. Not sure what the words meant, but this makes for an interesting design.

First time seeing this too~ heehee.....

There must've been some flea market going on there because there were many trinkets available for sale and we spotted this ice kacang maker!

This here is Tomioka Hachiman Shrine (富岡八幡宮), which was just nearby.

After that we walked around the area in search of a restaurant for lunch and spotted some dandelions~ I suppose you need some skills for this because I just can't make the seeds fly.

We had lunch at this place called Tiger Gyoza, which serves Chinese food.

I ordered the ebi chilli, which was good but the portion was sooo huge! We also shared a plate of gyoza. Those were definitely the biggest gyozas I've ever had!!!

Was surprised to spot an area with wisteria here.

After the library, we explored Kiyosumi Garden (清澄庭園), which was one of the famous gardens in Tokyo.

The view of the pond

Love the garden~

Hello friend!

There were many pretty flowers in the garden

They must all be sun-bathing together...

View of Skytree

After walking around, we had desserts.

I really enjoyed the walk in the garden and I like that they had an area for people to enjoy tea or japanese desserts. Definitely a place that I want to return to in the future.

After that, we explored around the neighbourhood and I learned about the blue bottle coffee which apparently is very famous as you can see from this pic, there is a long queue.

Further down from that area is Fukutomigawa Park (福富川公園), which was an interesting little park with play areas for kids. There were some kids fishing in the little pond when we were there.

Spotted this. I guess these must be the common species in that area.

Near Kiba Park (木場公園), we spotted this and I had to go check it out.

Definitely a surprise to find an area with such tall and pretty flowers~

Kiba park is a really huge park that is suitable for people to exercise together or just to enjoy a nice picnic. There was this huge jogging course and there were many people jogging there.

This was my first time exploring Koto-ku and we covered from Monzen-Nakacho station to Toyocho station!
