Bought these lovely macarons from Nathalie Gourmet Studio in Publika.

I bought the flavours: green tea, caramel, framboise, lavender-apricot and .....omg, I can't remember the last one.

The other day, I went to the car workshop to service my car. I told the mechanic that my passenger side window was not functioning. So he immediately entered my car and ...~*ta-da*~ *window winds down*. 

Me- "Oh...(wondering how did that happen)"
Mechanic- "You have locked the window"
Me- "Oh, really? (hides)"
Mechanic -"Yes, *presses the lock and unlock button*"
Me- "Ok.....(in my heart, I'm thinking stupid idiot me! For months, I've been thinking that it's spoiled but I never had time to bring it to a workshop!)

Argh....another blunder of mine when it comes to car....I was sooo embarrassed!

Capriciossa

After having said that I wanted to try the squid ink pasta for so many years, I've finally tried it at Capriciossa!!!

For starter, we had the yummy pumpkin soap. Super love this.....the lovely texture of the soup plus the creamy roasted pumpkin flavour. Yum~yum~

Ta-da~!! Behold~ the squid ink pasta!! It's black and doesn't look very appetizing. But I must say it tasted better than expectation. No weird fishy smell and the sauce actually tasted nice with a slight tinge of spicyness and of course, it comes with squid!

 

The tomato cream sauce based salmon pasta! Yum~ I love cream sauces!!

I love salads in Capriciossa. We always order one every single time. This is their fried calamari salad!

Overall, the experience with the squid ink pasta was good. However, I don't think I will ever order it again. I prefer my food to look a little more colouful. Besides, I don't wanna talk with ink all over my teeth during dinner. hehehe.....

Goku Raku Raen

Tried Goku Raku Ramen for the first time at the Mid Valley branch.

This is their signature ramen. Yummeh~ I love ramne and I like their noodles. However the soup is slightly on the salty side and the egg....I prefer the yolk to be a little more runny. 

Ordered gyouza too because in Japan ramen shops usually serve gyouza too and the 2 seems to go well with each other too. Unfortunately, I didn't really like this gyouza, but I would definitely be back for the ramen!

Bachofen

Asian fried spicy spaghetti

Super spicy~!!! Don't think I'll ever order it again. Good for those who love spicy stuffs.

Zanmai

I don't think I've ever frequent any other japanese restaurant in Malaysia as much as Sushi Zanmai. I have it almost twice every month. 

Well, that's cuz they provide good japanese food with reasonable pricing.

Chuka hokkai ramen?? This is one of my favourite dish. I love cold noodles and this comes with a light sourish broth which is rather appetizing. Plus it comes with all the toppings that I love such as salmon, salmon roe, hotate and crab meat!! What more can one ask for.....heehee!!! Yummy~~ <3

This one here is one interesting dish. I think we saw it turning round the conveyor belt and we couldn't help but try one. It's actually a prawn roll topped with some sesame sauce.

Something to fill the tummy when you're still not full.....

I think this was one of their monthly special items. Forgot what it's called, but I didn't really enjoy it. I prefer rice with raw fish rather than these type of rice popiah skin.

I think my friends are all scared of me already because I always ask for dessert after dinner.... heehee...

I seriously dunno whether to laugh or to get angry at this issue. Well, I seem to find it more amusing actually....

I requested the supplier to provide me the quotation for both filtered and non-filtered 10ul tips but they only provided me with the non-filtered one which comes in pack of 1000. So I emailed back stating that I actually requested for 2 items but they only provided me with the quote for 1 item.

Then I got a reply telling me that if I want 2 items, I can just multiply the price by 2. 

At this point, I was thinking, "Did you even read my first email properly?".

So I emailed back asking that if the filtered 10ul tips which comes in 96 tips per box also cost the same as the non-filtered ones that come in pack of 1000. If yes, thanks. (Which is not possible!!!)

In the next reply email, I received flyers of the filtered tips and still on quotation.

So finally...I told the person that he/she finally got what I wanted and can they give me quote now. In case they are unsure, I even provided a picture.

Then in next email....still no quote.....

Brodzeit set lunch

Brodzeit has a really inviting lunch set menu, for the price that one has to pay.

The set even comes with an ice lemon tea.

Look at the cute sugar syrup bottle. Sugar syrup is supposed to be more fragrant compared to just adding plain sugar. :P Saw it from some cooking show....

Was supposed to go to KL to meet up with the gals for a food trip to Jln Alor, but then it rained so heavily today.....the roads got all flooded and so eventually I had to cancel the trip, even though I was already at Kelana Jaya. 

I decided to take other roads home since the main road got flooded....but somehow the other road was even worse. 3 different stretches of it was flooded and since all the roads were 1 way, I had no choice but to drive through the flooded areas! And eventually, it took me 1 hour to reach home.....

The trip was truly wasted.

Blinged phone

Previously I blinged my phone and this is the final product! hahaha....pretty??

It's a cute little bunny with sharp teeth! My phone no longer looks like a htc and thanks to the bling, it's much bigger in size too.

Chinese zha jiang mien

Found this chinese restaurant in Sunway Mentari that serves China chinese food. I ordered their zha jiang mien which comes with their own hand-made noodles.

Love the smooth texture of their noodles and it's quite a big bowl. If you have a small appetite, it's best to share. The noodles is topped with braised beans which comes in a lighter sauce than the korean version.

Ice cream!!!!! This was from really long ago when a bunch of us who used to dance together got together.

After lunch and desserts, we just had to get ourselves even more desserts! hehee....which is why we ended up here.

Also, a big thanks to Wayne who paid the bill!

Here's what we had.....all expensive sets from the menu. My camera flash ruined the picture, I assure you...they look more appetizing in real life.

This first one was yummy!! It's really refreshing, especially all the berries one.

The second one came with a waffle and 4 scoops of ice cream. Yummeh soft waffle drizzled with maple syrup, top that with ice cream!! My favourite!!!

This is their sushi ice cream set. No worries, no seaweed, just chocolate!! heehe....and thank goodness no raw fish too, only berries. As for the one that looked like tamago, it's just ice cream. I didn't really fancy this set compared to the 2 on top because I felt that the price was a little pricey for such a small amount of ice cream, but of course, you are paying for the design as well.

Though the ice cream was great, it was the company that's the best!

Yummy cakes from Backofen, top one is chocolate while the bottom one is carrot cake with creme cheese. Only RM5.90 per piece! The tea set costs only RM7.90. It comes with a complementary tea/ coffee/ soft drink.

Ichiban Boshi

Went to Publika one day with seawitch and we passed by Ichiban Boshi where we saw the staffs making soba. hmmm.....fresh hand-made soba is always tempting~

So we had dinner there where we had a salmon sushi set which was not bad....

....and a portion of hand-made soba each.

Unfortunately, to our disappointment, the soba was very badly made. The one seawitch had was not cooked  properly and tasted really blend. At least mine was softer and tasted better, but still not as good as others. What a disppointment as we thought that we could get some really good soba....  :(

Frustration with dominos

Sigh.....was tired to go out for dinner, so I ordered dominos online. I ordered a large pizza set which comes with a free regular pizza. So once again the pizza was late but I got my pizzas. When I was about to open the bag I realised that there's 3 boxes and I thought if they ran out of large boxes so they packed the large pizza in 2 boxes. 

When I opened it, I saw that it was not my name that was written on the boxes, so I immediately checked the pizzas and no....they were not my pizzas too! :(((((

Immediately called dominos:

Told the first call centre guy my problem and he told me, "So what's the problem, you gained isn't it? You got 3 pizzas!"

I replied, "It's not even the pizzas I ordered!!! Plus this 3 pizzas cost only RM30 while mine costs RM39!!! What sort of reply is that? It's not a matter of whether I gained or not....it's not the pizzas I ordered!"

Guy immediately transferred me to another gal who promised that they would send me the correct pizzas in 30 minutes and collect back the wrong order.

Immediately after, the delivery guy called me to tell me that he had sent me the wrong pizzas and that he's coming to collect them.

Pizza delivery guy came:

When he arrived, I told him to tell his call centre not to send me the new pizzas anymore and he told me to call them myself!

Since I was hungry, I just gave him the pizzas so that I could get mine and called the call centre to cancel the new order.

Seriously dominos.....your service is horrible!!! Plus how can your call centre person even say that it's not a problem?? Does he want me to just eat the pizzas that I never ordered?? Yes, my pizzas were more expensive than the one sent wrongly to me but it's the matter of bad service from your side!! What sort of reply was that from your call centre??

But good job to the 2 lady who promised me the new pizzas and the one who helped cancel it, as for the guy, you should probably find a more suitable post for him in future, not in your call centre!

My poor blog...I have abandoned you for the longest time.

Postgraduate study really seem to leave one feeling busy......either that or its just that because I had been busy and had stopped for so long that I have forgotten about my blog.

But hey, now I remembered again!!!!

Will try to update you more often again now.

Tomorrow will be another long day, experiments in the morning, then a replacement class for a lab mate in the afternoon and then shooting at night at dance studio. I'll be taking over a microbe class....it will be fun since it's mainly on things that I have done for my fyp. As for the shooting at night....I haven't been practicing the dance steps since the last class 1 week ago....haahaa....
