Maru de Sankaku (鯛白湯らーめん ○de▽)

For dinner on both my work nights at Osaka, I went for dinner at this Ramen restaurant called Maru de Sankaku (鯛白湯らーめん ○de▽).

The place was small but had this fancy feeling when it comes to a ramen place.

On my first night, I was confused as there wasn't any ramen on the menu. There is a ticketing machine at the front and I was wondering why there wasn't any ramen on the menu for about 5 mins before deciding to enter anyways.

I opted for the red curry and this is how it was presented. The curry was delicious, the chicken was also soft and yummy. I liked that they added a piece of chicken skin on top so that I could enjoy different textures.

The next night, I decided to return to try their ramen and luckily for me, they served ramen that night!
The sea bream based soup was absolutely delicious. The presentation was also totally on point. I ordered an extra platter of sides to got with my ramen and even that was presented in such a beautiful manner.

The sides included some fried slices of burdock, renkon, pumpkin, radish, lady finger and onsen tamago. Everything was delicious. I didn't know that burdock fried this way would give such a nice accent to ramen.

Hotel And Rooms Shin-Osaka (ホテル・アンドルームス新大阪)

Review of a single room at Hotel And Rooms Shin-Osaka (ホテル・アンドルームス新大阪).

The bed is comfy and it was nice that the window was right next to the bed though.

There is a nice table at the side of the bed for work.
Very satisfied with this work table as I can face the TV while I work.

There is also a phone on the table for travellers to bring with them while exploring so that they can connect to the internet.

Love that the bathroom is big.

There is also a big bathtub there.

I was on the 9th floor and stayed in the same room for 2 nights.

Brought my own snacks from home and set up a little snack section for myself as I work in the room.

This is the layout of my floor.

At the hotel there is a sento, for those who enjoy a nice hot bath in a big tub.

I was pleasantly surprised that there are 2 massage chairs in the room and as there were no one there, I got to enjoy the entire area and massage chair by myself.

Breakfast the next morning.

Not sure if it was a thing for hotels in Kyoto and Osaka but both the hotels that I stayed in served tempura for breakfast. They also served cute little cakes for desserts.

Breakfast selection on the 2nd morning. Overall, the breakfast was good and I like that the restaurant was clean. The only down side is that there are only 4 long tables there for sharing so you are bound to be next to someone or directly in front of someone.

For those who like to take their own sweet time in their hotel room in the morning, they can opt to enjoy breakfast in the room too as the hotel offers breakfast delivery.

Strawberry dessert buffet lunch

Lunch buffet at Sky Restaurant again!

This time we were here because they were having a strawberry fair and all their desserts were strawberry themed. As you can see from above, the pasta also had a strawberry sauce and the chicken was topped with a strawberry.

Main dish was chicken for that month.

I was happy to see that they have strawberry macarons but I was surprised by the name that I couldn't stop smiling and immediately rushed back to my table to take my phone for this picture.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the potato salad!

hahahaa......while the dessert was named correctly in Japanese, it was somehow named potato salad in English.

Other strawberry items on the menu.

Overall, there was a good variety.

I have always enjoyed lunch buffet at Sky Restaurant because I like their appetizer selection.

Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Ekimae

Bought a sandwich for my shinkansen ride to Kyoto.

The sandwich was too small for lunch but it was just nice as a snack.

After a work meeting, I went to buy some food for dinner before checking into my hotel for the night - Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Ekimae (リッチモンドホテルプレミア京都駅前).

The hotel room was surprisingly really nice.

I got a nice double bed and a comfortable table for work.

There were also chargers on the table, which made it easy to charge all of my devices.

There was also an air purifier and an area for me to make tea.

I'm glad that there were free bottles of water too as nowadays not all business hotels provide them.

The room design was simple and I really like it.

The best part for me was that the bathroom was bigger than the usual. I also got a big bathtub for a nice bath that night.

Here are the amenities. As you can see, they provided a good hair dryer, which is extremely important for females because a good hair dryer allows us to dry our hair faster, which helps to save time.

I was in room 606 and here is my breakfast coupon.

There was a lounge downstairs which serves tea snacks and drinks to guests.

As I was super hungry after checking in and had to finish up some work, I quickly ate this bread that I bought at the station before checking in.

After finishing my work in the evening, I decided to check out the lounge but they were only serving drinks at that hour. I decided to try a glass of wine anyhow.

The place was relaxing as I was there were only a few people there at that time.

Here is a layout of the floor that I was on.

As I was feeling hungry, I quickly went back up to my room for dinner after the drink.

Before checking into the hotel, I went to the department store in the station to grab some food. I got some things which I usually wouldn't but I had decided to splurge a little as I had several work meetings in a row and I wanted to reward myself a little.

I got some fried wontons, prawn & avocado salad and a whole pack of chicken wings.

The next morning, I had a super huge breakfast at the hotel lobby before my morning meeting.

The breakfast was super good as there was a wide variety and everything was super good. They also served fresh tempura which they bring directly to your table for you.

They even served desserts for breakfast which was a nice touch for people with a sweet tooth like me.

I highly recommend this hotel as I am super in love with their breakfast and the simple but clean design of their rooms.

After my work meeting, it was time to take the Shinkansen back again and on the way back, I enjoyed this pretty looking red bean bun that was filled with green tea cream.

Overall it was a good work trip with 3 consecutive meetings. In between, I also got to enjoy some good food.

All you can eat sushi!

Weekend date at an all you can eat sushi restaurant - Sushi Tabehodai Sushidama Yokohamaten (すし玉 横浜店).

The restaurant was located on the 7F of Lumine Yokohama.

Females have to pay 3,500 yen, while males pay 4,000 yen.

They do have an interesting system whereby we get tickets to order some special sushi from their special menu.

As you can see from these pictures, we kept repeating a few of our favourite, which included hotate, uni, ebi and tuna.

Overall, the quality is good and the seafood was fresh. At first, I was worried that the uni might not be fresh but they were really good.

However these are sushi after all and it is hard to eat a lot as it is mostly rice.

Overall, if you usually eat more than 10 pieces of sushi in one setting, you do get your money's worth at this buffet.
