Green Tea Restaurant 1899, Ochanomizu

I first saw a promotion video for this Green Tea Restaurant 1899 in Ochanomizu on facebook and became interested in it as it serves green tea beer and green tea sausages.

The green tea beer~

My salad lunch (1150 yen) which was healthy and delicious. I like how it came with ochazuke and a small serving of pork.

Friend's order of fluffy eggs with braised beef (1380 yen). He gave me a bit of the eggs and beef to try and it was absolutely delicious. This set is definitely worth it. You can refill the rice too if 1 bowl is not enough for you.

We added desserts to our lunch - houjicha and sencha ice cream with eadible flowers.

After that we explored around Ochanomizu.

We went to Yushima Seido and visited the Statue of Confucius.

First time at 神田明神 (Kanda Myojin).

After that, we explored the around the back alleys of Jimbocho before walking all the way to Tokyo Dome City Attractions, where we spotted a bunch of people cosplaying.

We decided to grab dinner at Bubba Gump. As the place was very packed,we're only entitled to 2 hours of table time, which was totally not enough.

I absolutely love the dishes with shrimps here, especially the garlic shrimp. I absolutely love this dish here because of the garlicky flavour of the shrimp, which goes really well with the bread.

Last and final dish, our time was up before we finished this dish so we sorta had to rush.

Overall, this is a good place to dine in if you like shrimps.

Yoyogi Park

The girls and I are back at Yoyogi Park~

We're here because Mish's driving instructors told her about this event that they're having at Yoyogi Park.

So we decided to drop by for some food.

There was a stall selling Singapore curry laksa and we were extremely excited for that.

I was sooo excited that I started snapping pictures of Mish from the stall till she sat down.

The curry laksa looked amazing but unfortunately it tasted horrible. It was so bad that I only had one spoonful.

This thai dish here, on the other hand, tasted amazing! The meat was flavourful and everything went really well together.

After lunch, we went to visit Mish's diving school's booth to hang for a bit. Then we walked to Shibuya and grabbed desserts at Shibuya Mark City.

神楽坂茶寮 (Kagurazaka Saryo) was serving match kakigori as part of their summer special menu so I ordered one. It was superb and tasted even more delicious after I had added some brown sugar on it (which I stole from Yh's drink order).

After that, I had to leave everyone as I had to join N and K for an emergency dinner at Saizeriya. N had been feeling pretty down at work and needed to talk, so we met up to listen to her problems.

Tanabata night

Grabbed dinner with Yh at 風来坊 銀座店 (Furaibo Ginza).

This is an interesting dish as this is a chicken gyoza whereby they stuff the stuffings on a gyoza into the chicken skin.

A platter of shishamo~

The famous tebasaki~!!!

As it was Tanabata night, after the event, we went to Tokyo Daijingu. They were having a 2 night event and there were many people there praying for love I guess. There were mostly girls there and some couples.

I've been to Tokyo Daijingu a few times but I've never seen so many people there before.

Also, the place look pretty at night.

You can get a piece of paper called tanzaku and write down your wish on it. After that you hang it on the bamboo stalk, as the girls are doing here.

I didn't write one but I did make a prayer that night.
Hopefully, it will come true~

After JLPT

JLPT exam day and it's just my luck that I didn't bring a watch and I happened to be placed in a room without a clock. This was surprising to me because based on my past experiences, the rooms always have a clock. Hence, I rushed through the entire paper only to be left with plenty of time at the end. Not good at all......

Right after my JLPT exam, I met up with Mish and junior at Shinjuku for dinner.

We grabbed dinner at Lumine.

While the food looked really good on the pictures, food was just ok and the service was sub par.

The cups they used to serve our drinks weren't very clean too. I guess they didn't realise that the sides were starting to rust.

haha....it's so bad that I can't even remember the name of the restaurant.

Sawamura, Hiro-O

After visiting the library, we went exploring around the area and then went for dinner at Sawamura in Hiro-O.

I ordered a fruit juice as usual.

This is how the interior looked like on the second floor.

Bread that came with our appetisers

We ordered this spicy prawns as appetisers and they were delicious~!! You can eat the shells too.

A plate of grilled veg to meet our daily fibre requirements. hahaha....these were really good.

A main for grilled pork which were grilled to perfection~!

For desserts, we ordered this earl grey creme brulee which is one of the best creme brulee I've ever had! I must revisit for this~!!

The other dessert we ordered was this tiramisu. While it doesn't look that pretty, it was good and different from the usual tiramisu.

This place sets a nice atmosphere for dates. The food is good. It might be better to make a reservation to get a proper table.

Jade5 & 船橋屋 こよみ, Hiro-O

First time at Hiro-O.

We went for lunch at little cafe called Jade5, which is pet and baby friendly.

The lumber jack, if I'm not mistaken, which came with 2 pancakes, eggs, 2 bacons and potatoes.

I ordered the eggs florentina benedict with salmon which was absolutely delicious~!!

As the cafe was really small, we had to share seats with another group of people. Overall, the food was good and I think it would be nicer when the cafe is less crowded.

After lunch, we walked past this place called "Melting in the mouth", which Moon is interested in and has on her Tokyo 2018 trip list.

Interesting soft serves combi menu, but as I'm not a fan of vanilla soft serve, it didn't really attract me that much.

Instead, we stopped by this place called 船橋屋 こよみ広尾店 (funabashiya koyomi) for some Japanese sweets.

While their kakigori looked amazing, we didn't order any as the weather wasn't warm enough to make us crave for some.

We ordered this Japanese pudding, which tasted super good. Love the kinako powder topping and the black sugar that they used.

After that we went to the library so that I could study for my JLPT. On the way there was this beautiful little garden.

After that, we spotted this cute little tree house. It looks interesting and I wonder if it's a restaurant.

Spotted some pretty flowers on the street there too.
