Sweet Hut, Setia Walk

Milk shaved ice with oreo cookie toppings and a pudding on the side. Not sure how it tasted as I'm not a fan of milk.

But this chocolate mouse cake was decadent! Rich in flavour~ and went so well with the cookies n cream ice cream!

Dinner + gift shopping

This was from more than a month back when JM and I wanted to prepare something to thank out lab mates, officers and lecturers who have helped us through out our postgrad period.

We decided to go shopping for gifts but before that dinner!

My tenzaru cha soba~

JM wanted to try natto and hence......hahaha.......I asked if she wanted me to record her reaction but she said no. It was pretty funny to watch hahahah~! Luckily I ordered some gari for her to cleanse her palette!

Our fav. soft shell crab maki for sharing....

After that we bought various snacks from shojikiya and Daiso to be packed into various packets of goodies to be distributed to show our appreciation to those who have helped us!

Mr. Dak-Galbi at Setia Walk

Finally got the chance to try out this place. The last time I visited, I had to leave before the food was cooked as I wasn't feeling well~

Here's what we ordered, the seafood galbi!

With additional 2 servings of ramen~

Overall the taste was ok, I especially enjoyed the sweet potato, cabbages and ramen together~

Green tea cake, tea, desserts.....lol

Went to help S move house on the 26th of Sept and since someone's Bday falls on the 28th, I had decided to present this as a moving house + Moon cake festival + Bday gift!

This was the first time I've ever presented my own home-made cakes to a guy. The top 2 are mooncakes, followed by green tea cup cakes and cheese cakes with chocolate bits.

After that, S treated me to a lovely dinner at mameton, where we drank hot green tea and after that we went for desserts at Nana's.

Look at what we ordered!

As if we couldn't get enough of Japanese food~ hahaha.....

Gateau chocolate cake

Gonna start making a diary of all the delicious cakes that I've made recently.

This is the gateau chocolate cake that I've made following famous youtuber Ochikeron's recipe.

You can check out her video below here

This is the easiest recipe I've ever came across, using only 2 ingredients: chocolate (165g) and eggs (3). Do check out her video for the full instructions!

The cake was rich and delicious! Definitely a go to when you're pressed for time and need to bake a cake in  5 mins!

Lunch

Once in a while I crave for crunchy fried noodles, topped with a warm, slightly thick sauce. This one here is a Vietnamese variation but we have various chinese variations for this dish too. Using various noodles, different sauce base and different vegetables or protein, one can re-invent this dish a thousand times over. There's also a japanese version for this dish which I am yet to try.

Epic Fit Meals Co and Bisque, Damansara Perdana

First visit!

Our very healthy fruit juices~

Cauliflower rice which was too raw to our liking

Grilled chicken which was good. This is actually 1 portion so if you are a big eater, 1 might not be enough for you.

We also had a mashed potato, salad and pizza whose pictures I couldn't not find on my phone somehow.....

After lunch, we went for desserts,

This is the chocolate tart which was rich and delicious~  <3

Hana Dining Sake Bar, Sunway Pyramid

First time trying out the new Hana Dining Sake Bar at Sunway Pyramid.

They are separated into 2 areas, one is the bar area and the other is the restaurant area. We were seated at the restaurant area and the place was pretty packed on a weekend.

Here's my order of the chirashi don. The sashimi were fresh but sadly, they did not serve fresh wasabi with this. And their miso soup...hehehee....was served in a chinese soup bowl with a spoon~ how special! It's like a fusion of chinese and japanese!

Secret recipe

First time dining at the Secret recipe on campus even though it opened for business long ago.

I ordered the black pepper lamb pie as my lab mate told me that it was really good.

Looks pretty~ I really enjoyed the crust of the pie but unfortunately, the filling was kind of dry.

Day 5: Stranded in Bali

This was supposedly our last day in Bali as we were supposed to catch a plane flight back to KL in the evening if only our flight didn't get cancelled.

Cousin's Chef friend works at the Rimba Jimbaran Hotel, hence we decided to visit this restaurant called TO'GE at the hotel for lunch before heading to the airport.

The delicious ice blended berry drink

As appetisers, we were served this warm bread with a yummy sauce which I had no idea what it was.

This turned out to be the most expensive meal we've had in Bali and the most expensive hainanese chicken rice we've ever had in our lives~

But what to do, as the Head chef was from Singapore, this was his speciality dish and it was indeed DELICIOUS~!!!!

The hainanese chicken rice set came with a bowl of super fragrant chicken rice, a plate of chicken, a bowl of soup and 3 sauces!
Lol~ we each ordered a set. While the meal may be expensive, but it was definitely delicious~ but I don't think I'd ever spend that much on chicken rice ever again though.

From the lobby of Rimba hotel, you get this amazing view~

heehee, a family pic~

Cousin saw pictures of this beautiful hotel in Nusa Dua and wanted to have a look before we leave so we dropped by and true enough. It was super grand. But I think my favourite will still be Ayana Resort & Spa Bali due to the amazing views from the Rock Bar! A must visit the next time I return to Bali~!!!!

A family group pic~

Well, we eventually arrived early at the airport only to find out that there's a possibility of our flight being cancelled. But we still stayed and hoped that our flight would be fine, but alas, after 2 hours of wait.....it was cancelled and we had to spend another night in Bali. In total, our flight was delayed for about 26 hours~ hahaa.....definitely, a tiring wait!
