CNY reunion dinner

On 07/02/16, we had our Chinese New Year reunion dinner!

Look at our dinning table~ 8 dishes all together!!! Huat ar~

Our half home-made yee sang which was actually a gift from our neighbour. We just added in some extra pear, pomelo, herb, jellyfish, peanuts and crackers!

Home cooked dishes by mummy! <3

My favourite~

BBQ goose

Gotta have some greens~

A whole chicken

This pic was taken a few days before when mum and dad were busy frying prawn crackers for CNY.

Look at the amount they fried! These are the best prawn crackers ever because mummy made them from scratch! Buying the prawns, peeling them, washing them, mincing them, kneading the dough, steaming the dough, adding colouring, slicing, drying and eventually frying them! Not easy~!!!

The final product~ crispy and delicious prawn crackers!

2013 CNY reunion dinner

All dishes cooked by mummy~ I only helped to eat.....hehehe

This dish of prawn here gets a solo pic because they were all the size of my palm except for the lost little one on the bottom left. So happy.....these flew from Brunei! Yummy huge and fresh prawns!!! MY <3

The rest of the dishes for the night except for 1) the fish because it was served only later during dinner, 2) the lou sang which arrived only after we finished dinner and 3) the birds nest for dessert!!

A plate of stir-fried mixed veges, stir-fried tomato sauced prawn, nyonya style chicken, braised mushroom+cucumber+pork leg+fatt choi, braised vegetarian dish, beancurd meat roll and fish maw+abalone+pork stomach pepper soup. All these dishes or should I say ingredients have meanings and are supposed to bring good luck, fortune and prosperity for the new year!

Had so much good food these few days for CNY! I think I sorta tortured my stomach by eating so much~ hahaha......

Yesterday was the last day of cny...also known as chap goh mei or chinese valentine.

Anyone threw any mandarin oranges into any river/ sea?

I didn't!! :(

This year was really special as I had the chance to perf a chinese dance at P kl. My first time at the mall actually....hehe...so huge and grand~!!!

It was really last minute as we were only informed 2 days before the perf day.......ahhhh.......

I got a shock when I found out that we'd be doing a chinese dance. haha, we were all wondering how would d dance be like and what do we do about costumes.....

But in the end, everything went smoothly and we all had a lot of fun during the performance..... hehe.....

Us!!! In studio right after our rehersal, with our make up artist! Thank you!!!! and also thansk to our instructor who fixed our hair!!! So beautiful right?
This is us outside of the famous xiao long bao shop during our break......
It was nice that many ppl wanted to take pics with us last night. After the first perf we got so high that we started dancing to hiphop songs in our costumes and white socks. hehee...
It was a great experience and I don't mind doing it again.....in future, I hope to be able to try out other dance styles too.
