Eating Japan - Ice cream series 9

1. Häagen-Dazs maple custard cookie

Love this flavour because of the maple flavour and crunchy cookie bits~

2. Akagi Mikan

Bought this on a night when it was drizzling but I really wanted to cool off and it was a long walk back home late at night. So what did I do? Eat 2 bars on the way home while holding an umbrella~ Perfect end to a hot summer night.

3. Häagen-Dazs murasaki imo

Love yam ice cream~ Nostalgia~ I miss the magnolia one that Mum's friends used to bring back from the Philipines......those were soooo good! I've always enjoyed the yam and mango flavoured ones.

4. Almond ice cream

Almond milk ice cream bar that's coated with chocolate and crushed almonds......yummy~!!

Eating Japan - Ice cream series 8

1. Haagen Dazs Alfonso mango & cream

This is a really good combination! I really enjoy the flavours especially since I've been craving for mangoes!

The cream coloured one is the cream and the orange coloured one is the mango. Both of them go so well together!

2. Garigarikun Pear

First time tasting pear ice cream and it's nice actually. Love that it's a popsicle because when it melts, it reminds you of really juicy pears.

3. Chateraise Belgian Chocolate Soft ice cream

I felt that this product was just ok. Luckily the cone was not soft and the soft serve filled the entire cone.

4. Dole Sweetio

I really enjoy these mini Dole popsicles. They make for such great snacks during summer or when you just reach home and needed something to cool you down quickly. This one here come in 4 flavours - grapes, pineapple, apple and orange. Cheap but delicious~

5. Meiji Super Cup Caramel Cookie

I really like the caramel flavour of the ice cream and what's not to love about oreo cookie bits?
Again, cheap but delicious~
Love it so much that I bought it several times during summer!

6. Haagen Dazs Japonais Kuromitsu kinako

I just had to buy this when I saw this because it's the best combination ever~!!!
Kuromitsu and kinako~ <3

This one here has red bean paste too and it really reminds you of a traditional Japanese dessert.

Eating Japan - Ice cream series 7

1. Dole ice popsicles

This was delicious and great as a light snack on a hot day. You'd probably need a few to cool you down as they're tiny! But I love them~ This one here is the limited edition one that came in pink grapefruit, orange, pineapple and grape flavours.

2. Chateraise raw caramel shaved ice

This is like the best prepacked shaved ice ever!!!

The shaved ice itself is already flavoured, then you get these little dollops of caramel~!!!!  :D

3. Haagen-Dazs limited edition caramel truffle

This was surprisingly good! I've never tried this flavour before and didn't really know what to expect.

4. Chateraise peach ice popsicles

This huge pack contains 6 bars.

I bought this when peach was still in season in Japan and ooo sooo good! Not too sweet and I like the texture of the popsicle~

5. Chateraise kakigori in green tea flavour

I bought a huge pack of this that contains 6 little containers like this. Unlike the caramel one which was a soft shaved ice, this one has more of an ice texture to it and good for those who love to chew on ice! The flavour is spot on and there's even red beans in this! Though I felt that the red bean was a little too sweet, it was yummy.

6. W berry 100% fruits bar

Highly recommend this if you love berries~ This bar is made form 100% fruit juice and pulp so it's super flavourful!!!

Eating Japan -Ice cream series 6

1. Gatsun Grapefruit

This one is really good as it comes with real grapefruit pieces inside. This is a favourite for 2 of my colleagues.

2. Kracie Grapefruit

This one here contains only grapefruit juice but not the actual fruit. Hence, the top one is the winner!

3. Ohayo Ice smoothie bar

I really like this as you get crunchy pieces of ice in the bar and there's a nice mango flavour to it. I like it so much that I bought a second box!

4. Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Macadamia nut

<3 this....super delicious! Absolutely must have if you love macadamia nuts!

5. Meiji Gold line

I felt that this was only so-so. It would be better if the chocolate coating is thicker.

Eating Japan -Ice cream series 5

Summer is seriously too hot for me to handle~ Sometimes I wonder if I really came from a tropical country.

When summer first started, I'd have 2 sticks of ice cream every day because it was so hot!

1. Hershey's Crunch choco monaka
I like this because they come in small little packs of 6 so that means you don't have to eat that many calories in one setting. Plus what's not to love about a choco monaka?

Just nice for a quick snack!

2. Morinaga chocolate ice bar with 3 different forms of chocolate
Again, a small stick that I could easily finish in 5 mins. While the chocolate flavour here is not as rich as the more premium chocolate ice cream, it has a nice enough chocolate flavour that doesn't taste weird.

3. PrimeONE shirokuma
Oooo....delicious milk shaved ice with fruits! This one was really expensive and hence, I never bought it again. But I really enjoyed the milky taste of the ice with the sweet fruits~

4. Meiji Orange Soda ice
Another icy ice cream. I just love these icy desserts that can be scooped out and still gives an icy feel.

5. StyleONE tappuri shigure in strawberry flavour
Just plain strawberry kakigori with red bean paste in the centre. Nothing special.

6. PrimeONE ichigo & rennyu
Omg...this was super good!!! Ichigo & rennyu is like the perfect combination so how do you make it better? Turn that into an ice dessert! Sweet and delicious~

Eating Japan -Ice cream series 4

1. Haagen Dazs Honey & Milk

This is probably my least favourite flavour from them. The ice cream was ok thanks to the swirls of honey in it but other than that I didn't really enjoy the taste.

2. Pablo yam cheesecake ice cream

One of the best cheese flavoured ice cream I've had!!! You can distinctively taste the yam and the cheese. Plus that cookie base was just lovely~ Thanks to this ice cream, I'm tempted to try the real cheesecake version!

3. Chateraise strawberry milk ice cream bar

While you can really taste the strawberry in this, I prefer the icy kind over the creamy kind. But overall, it was a delicious bar.

Eating Japan -Ice cream series 3

1. AEON Berry mix frozen parfait

I swear I see a colleague of mine having this for breakfast every single morning. So I got curious! And got myself one one day and yup, it was delicious alright! I like the icy texture of it, the berry flavour and that airy foam on top!

2. AEON Mango frozen parfait

Well, because the berry mix one was sooo amazing, I decided to try the mango flavour one too and it was super refreshing~!!! Good!

3. Dole pineapple icicle

It's been so long since I had a sweet and sour tasting fruit like pineapple that I was missing the flavour so I decided to get the ice cream version instead and I like it! Love icicles~ and it really does taste like pineapple. Plus this was really cheap.....like less than a 100 yen if I remembered it correctly.

Eating Japan -Ice cream series 2

1. Haagen Dazs Vanilla & Milk

As I'm not a fan of milk, I was contemplating if I should get this, but I did in the end. The ice cream itself was ok, but I enjoyed the honey swirls in it.

2. Pablo purple yam cheese tart ice cream

Highly recommend this!! Omg, I love this sooo much, you can taste the yam and cheese!!! Then there's that cookie base! Best combination ever!!! <3

3. Chateraise Strawberry milk bar

There is definitely a strong strawberry flavour to this but I prefer icy fruit bars to smooth and creamy ones.

4. Aeon's frozen fruit parfait in mango flavour

This is how it looks like on the inside. Mango flavoured ice with chunks of mango and vanilla ice cream. Super refreshing and the mango chunks were sweet!

Eating Japan -Ice cream series 1

1. Belgian chocolate ice cream form Chateraise~

Look at the chocolate!!! heehee....I love the taste of the chocolate with the vanilla ice cream below it!

2. Haagen-Dazs Lavender and Blueberry ice cream

I bought this because it was a limited edition flavour! heehee and it was delicious! Love the lavender fragrance and you can taste the blueberry too!

3. Haagen-Dazs Pumpkin ice cream

At first I was worried that this ice cream might taste weird but it was surprisingly very good! Not too sweet and with a nice pumpkin flavour!

4. Colo-furu Mango

It's been a long time since I had mango and I was really missing the taste of it so I bought this ice cream. The mango flavour is nice and I like how the popsicle feels as if there were many pieces of mango flesh in it.
