Benitora Gyozabou (紅虎餃子房 ヴィーナスフォート店) & Mamemono

Was craving for Chinese food and we went to Benitora Gyozabou at Venus Fort.

Had to order some of their famous gyoza, which were huge and luckily, delicious.

First time having such a long prawn roll and it was good.

The boiled gyoza was ok, I prefer the pan-fried version.

Even though it was after lunch time, there were still many people in the restaurant.

We also ordered their tan tan men which was very good, but definitely needs to be shared because of the strong flavours.

We also tried their shiumai was good.

After late lunch, we grabbed desserts at a cafe nearby called Mamemono.

I ordered a parfait and it was delicious. I like that there are some black beans in it and that it's not too sweet.

Teamlab Borderless Part 2

Continuation of Teamlab Borderless.

The place is huge and there are so many exhibits.

The room above made me feel like a frog somehow but in a nice way.

This room here have seats on the floor for you to enjoy the wave projections on the wall.

Then there's this familiar room.

A room that's filled with lights just like the one at Teamlab Planets.

I think this same exhibit is available in many other Teamlab's work in other countries.

I really like this room. I wish that I could have them on one side of the wall in my room too.

I like the room with flowers projected onto the walls.

I really like this interactive wall.

The projections are interactive and are in line with your movements.

In these pictures, you can see how the projections change according to my movements.

I'm not sure if they work because of charges or heat but they move towards your area where your hand has touched.

Only the walls near in the room with the slope and waterfall projection are interactive that way.

While the flower room has many nice flower projections, they are not interactive.

Still, you can take amazing pictures in here.

Highly recommend that you come in a white top.

Can't get enough of the beautiful flower projections~

From the flower room, we walked up to the 2nd floor where we got a nice view of the room with the slope and waterfall projection.

As you can see, there are many people on the slope and hence, not easy to take a nice shot.

Then there's this room that's filled with floating lanterns~

The queue to enter this was super long!! The second longest queue among all the other attractions. The longest one was the queue to the room with the floating net for us to lie down and enjoy projections of the stars.

Both of these rooms have a time limit.

Once your time is up, they will clear the room.

Even so, we did manage to take some pretty nice photos.

We spent a few hours there and I enjoyed this more than Planets. Highly recommend this especially during the hot summer months, when it's super hot outside.

Teamlab Borderless Part 1

I've been wanting to visit Teamlab Borderless  ever since I visited Planets.
Finally made the trip a year later.

We arrived early with hopes that there would be less people.

When the gates open, we are free to enter any exhibitions that we like. As it was our first time, we just sort of winged it and simply entered one.

Not sure if we entered one that wasn't too popular, but there was less people.

There were images of whales projected onto the walls and in the corner, there is this trampoline area with lights projected on it to make it look like the galaxy. This are attracted many families with kids, but I went to try it out too. It was surprisingly hard to keep your balance while jumping on the trampoline.

Past that area is an area with blown up balloons like these.

The colour of the lights changes every now and then.

After that, we went to an area filled with kids to enjoy a short colouring session.

I chose a turtle while J chose a fish.

We coloured them and gave them to the staff to be scanned.

After the images are scanned, they will be projected onto the wall.

Next is a room filled with lights that changes colour every now and then.

Next, we entered a room with many little trinkets on the walls and on the tables. Everything is interactive. When you move the trinkets around, the animations will change accordingly.

After that, we went for tea at the En Tea House.

Here's the menu:

The tea house is dark so that we can enjoy the light projections

We ordered a hot tea and green tea ice cream.

When placed on the table, flowers start to form in the tea cup and around the green tea ice cream.

When you shift the tea cup, the projection will continue for a while before it disappears.

At the same time, a new flower will form at the new location.

Overall, it is an amazing and one of a kind experience.

I wonder if there is some kind of sensor in the utensils because when the tea level is low or when there's only a bit of ice cream left, the projections end.

...to be continued
