Tsubohachi Hokkaido Izakaya, Publika

Went to try out Tsubohachi with S at Publika. As usual, with my lousy sense of directions, we took several detours to some weird places before we managed to end up in the correct place!

My pink cocktail~ which was not really my type of drink. hahaha...maybe next time I'll just get a chuhai or sour.

Our delicious pork and leek skewers!

Yummy pork and egg with freshly shredded cabbages at the bottom~

Chicken and leek skewers~

Omg, I super love the leek~!!!

Potato mentaiko yaki~ This was delicious too! First time trying something like this~

Gyouza~!!!

Some souvenirs from Japan from S~ Arigatou~!!!

Matcha white chocolate daifuku. Due to my blurness, I didn't know that it was white chocolate inside and thought that it was normal chocolate. Imagine how shocked I was when I took the first bite and found white chocolate inside. hahaha......

This is the halloween pikachu which S got because apparently, during this mixi days, his profile picture was yellow and so his friends called him pikachu.

I named this cute little one, Pikabou (pikachu + kabocha) S (night) which was a play on S' name but using different kanjis.

It's always nice to receive unexpected souvenirs! :)

Bday treat at Jogoya

Mummy's bday treat for me this year~

No time to take picture of the food being served as I was too busy eating!

So here are some pictures of the things that I had~
First off!! Appetizers!

And that prawn is HUGE!

The cooked items were delicious!

Grilled salmon head!! <3 Absolutely delicious!

And to wash all that down before I continue on with the mains again......first, a chocolate ice cream and then followed by a tart raspberry ice cream!

Mango ice cream~ Rich and yummy~

Right, after that it's time to continue with the mains again.

Pan-fried cod fish~ Yummy, but I prefer the salmon fish head to this.

A seafood hot pot! I enjoyed the noodles and mushroom with the milky soup.

Another scoop of chocolate ice cream~ hehehe.....

To end it all, a delicious cheese cake~

:D I'm a happy girl!!!

Thank you mummy~!!!

Rakuzen and HK cafe

Dinner with seawitch after her work trip to Switzerland!

I had usual salmon oyakodon! Yummy~

It was October and they were having some sort of nihonsyuu or japanese sake promotion. So we decided to try it too....

Let's just say while it was a good experience, I'm not a huge fan of it.

After that, we visited the Hello Kitty cafe and we were disappointed.

The cake choices were limited and they had ran out of several items when we were there.....

Us with Kitty-chan

For example, cocoa powder.....

They ran out so seawitch's coffee came without any coffee art. So I improvised and drew one for her with the chocolate sauce from the chocolate cake.

Not bad right? hahaha......

Jyu Raku with Moon and Nick

Continuing on with our pact to try to meet up every month~

This time it was at Jyu Raku~

Moon's california maki

and agedashi tofu

My usual order of salmon oyakodon~ I think I have this like twice a month! Lol~ You must try this dish here at least once! You will definitely not regret it as it came with the normal salmon sashimi and salmon belly. There's also some squid and ikura! Then you can end it all with the sweet tamago! :)

Nick's katsu curry~ which smells absolutely amazing!

Finally, we remembered to snap a picture of us! :D

Dinner + gift shopping

This was from more than a month back when JM and I wanted to prepare something to thank out lab mates, officers and lecturers who have helped us through out our postgrad period.

We decided to go shopping for gifts but before that dinner!

My tenzaru cha soba~

JM wanted to try natto and hence......hahaha.......I asked if she wanted me to record her reaction but she said no. It was pretty funny to watch hahahah~! Luckily I ordered some gari for her to cleanse her palette!

Our fav. soft shell crab maki for sharing....

After that we bought various snacks from shojikiya and Daiso to be packed into various packets of goodies to be distributed to show our appreciation to those who have helped us!

Green tea cake, tea, desserts.....lol

Went to help S move house on the 26th of Sept and since someone's Bday falls on the 28th, I had decided to present this as a moving house + Moon cake festival + Bday gift!

This was the first time I've ever presented my own home-made cakes to a guy. The top 2 are mooncakes, followed by green tea cup cakes and cheese cakes with chocolate bits.

After that, S treated me to a lovely dinner at mameton, where we drank hot green tea and after that we went for desserts at Nana's.

Look at what we ordered!

As if we couldn't get enough of Japanese food~ hahaha.....

Hana Dining Sake Bar, Sunway Pyramid

First time trying out the new Hana Dining Sake Bar at Sunway Pyramid.

They are separated into 2 areas, one is the bar area and the other is the restaurant area. We were seated at the restaurant area and the place was pretty packed on a weekend.

Here's my order of the chirashi don. The sashimi were fresh but sadly, they did not serve fresh wasabi with this. And their miso soup...hehehee....was served in a chinese soup bowl with a spoon~ how special! It's like a fusion of chinese and japanese!

Rakuzen Sunway Pyramid

My usual order of Salmon oyakodon~
