Hotel Granvia Hiroshima (ホテルグランヴィア広島)

Business trip day again.

Took the Shinkansen to Hiroshima and stopped by the same teishoku restaurant that I went to last time for late lunch.

After that, I immediately checked in to Hotel Granvia Hiroshima (ホテルグランヴィア広島) as I had a meeting to catch.

This time, I am on the 7th floor, in room 721. My room has a very big table for work. There is even a small table at the side, which I barely used.

I spent the next night at Route Inn Tokuyama Ekimae Hotel (ホテルルートイン徳山駅前) after work and managed to snap a picture of the sunset from my room.

My simple dinner from Lawson.

Breakfast the next morning from Lawson.

It is easy to just eat in my room as it saves time and I am able to eat while I reply emails at the same time.

Lunch with colleagues the next day. We went for ramen again at the ramen place that serves this big bowl of moyashi ramen.

Lol, the bigger bowl belongs to me and the smaller one belong to our service engineer!

There here was taken from my hotel room the next morning.

After checking out, I immediately took the shinkansen back. I was very lucky to be in the new shinkansen. Hence, it is very clean and bright. I prefer the newer trains as the are cleaner and more comfortable.

Dinner at Din Tai Fung

At the top of Newoman Yokohama, there is this nice open area where people can just enjoy fresh air, or enjoy some light refreshments. There are several families there with their kids running around and when we were there, there was a proposal at this Yokohama sign!

For dinner, we went to Din Tai Fung because we miss Chinese food.

Irwyn's favourite appetizer. The little boy can finish the whole plate by himself.

My fav. raddish cake

Everyone's fav spicy prawn dumplings.

The kids fav. xiao long bao.

The place was packed but luckily we got a nice seat by the corner.

All the mains that we had!

By the end, we were super full and trying to stuff ourselves so that we don't waste any food.

It is always nice when you visit in a big group because then you can have a variety of dishes. If it was just J and I, we always order the same few dishes only.

Morning walk at Pacifico Yokohama

Came to Minato Mirai early because I wanted to visit the doc but unfortunately the hospital was not open for walk-in that day.

So we decided to take the opportunity to just explore the around Pacifico Yokohama.

There beautiful pink floweres were in full bloom in the park behind Pacifico.

As it had suddenly start to drizzle, we went into Pacifico for some breakfast. I ordered this pumpkin tart which was not bad.

We then walked to Newoman in Yokohama to grab lunch with T&I's family at THE CITY BAKERY BRASSERIE RUBIN ニュウマン横浜.

As always, when grabbing lunch here, we must have the chicken biryani.

We also got the grilled pork, which is another must order dish.

This here is the grilled chicken with nuts.

The salad which surprisingly came with the base of the veg still attached. Lol

Even after all that, there is always room for dessert.

Here is my yummylicious chocolate cake and the kids' ice cream.

Lunching with the beautiful family!

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hiroshima-ekimae (ダイワロイネットホテル 広島駅前) stay

Business trip kinda day again.

Snapped this while on the shikansen.

Arrived at Hiroshima station and immediately grabbed late lunch.

Went it this teishoku place and got myself this double main dish set as I was super hungry!

The food there was delicious and feels healthy. I like that they have a nice selection of veg.

After that, I moved to the hotel.

Checked in to Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hiroshima-ekimae (ダイワロイネットホテル 広島駅前).

The room is not bad, it had a nice big table for me to work and a massage chair!

The bathroom also has a separate bath which was nice.

I managed to soak for about 5 minutes before my sleeping as I was so busy the entire evening replying emails.

This was my room, on the 15th floor.

Dinner that night was this Hakata Paitan Ramen that I bought from the supermarket.

The next day, I moved to Tokuyama station for work and spent the night at Route Inn Tokuyama Ekimae Hotel (ホテルルートイン徳山駅前)

My big bowl of moyahsi ramen which I could only finish half because of the ridiculous amount of moyashi on it. But I guess it should be healthy in a way as I was eating so much bean sprouts.

Dinner that night at the hotel restaurant was this dry soba.

This here is breakfast the next morning. This place is always filled with men and I am usually one of the few ladies there. Sometimes, I am the only lady there.

Shinkansen back home. As I have accumulated some point on my app, I managed to upgrade my seat from the normal class to the green class. I like the green cars as the seats are wider. They have less people and hence, provides a quiet environment for work.

Road trip to Oshino Hakkai & Arakurayama Sengen Park for Sakura & Mt. Fuji

Early in the morning, we grouped up at Nissan rental car at Musashi Kosugi for our sakura road trip.

We arrived at Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海), which is this beautiful little village like area with beautiful sakura.

Even when we arrived early, the parking area was almost full.

I like that this place has a traditional feel to it.

This area apparently has 8 lakes, but we did not visit all of them as our main purpose was for sakura and Mt. Fuji.

While the sky was blue, there were some clouds in the sky, so we were not able to get a clear view of Mt. Fuji.

This here is the is the 中池 which is the most popular lake there as it is the deepest lake and it is almost transparent. Hence, you can see the fishes in it.

See how clear it is!

After strolling around a bit, we had lunch at 丸天 (Maruten).

They are famous for grilled trout, which was yummy.

The carp sashimi is also one of their popular items but I must say I did not enjoy this at all. I do not like sashimi with soft bones in them. The bones are painful to chew on and the meat is tough.

We were seated by the window and had a view of the garden.

Another famous dish there is the houtou.

A view of the garden from where we were seated.

After lunch, we drove to  Arakurayama Sengen Park( 新倉山浅間公園) .

This place is highly popular and the parking area was full when we were there. Luckily, a car left and we took their spot.

You also need to queue in a long line to get up here. This is so that they can avoid crowd on the top deck. Every group is given several minutes to enjoy the view and snap some picture.

As you can see from our pictures, the sky was cloudy and the top of Mt. Fuji was blocked by clouds when we were there. This is pretty common in the day. To get a nice view of Mt. Fuji, one needs to visit early in the morning or near the evening.

Just when we thought that this was it and was ready to head home, the sky cleared up!

So we went back up for a second round.

This time, we were able to see the top of Mt. Fuji as the cloud slowly disperses.

I guess we were really lucky that day.

We waited the whole day to see the top of Mt. Fuji and it finally appeared!

Look at these beautiful pictures!

For dinner, we stopped by Sushi Hana (寿司華) on our way back.

This place is fancy.

We had to wait for a few minutes to be seated but we got a nice semi-private room for the 4 of us.

J and I shared this huge platter of sushi! The sushi was fresh and good.

The meal ended with some strawberry sherbet.
