Eating Japan - Snack series 23

1. Karamucho Hot Chilli

This is probably the spiciest snack you can find easily in Japan. This is their special 55 year anniversary version and it came in this huge 200g bag. I'm not complaining as I crave spicy chips every now and then.

2. Gupputa Bitter chocolate

This is sort of like a low calorie snack which is suitable for those on a diet as each pack only has 52 calories. Bought this to try as ti came in a flavour that I like. The biscuits are ok....not something you would crave for.

3. Tohato caramel corn in almond caramel

Probably one of the more famous snacks from Japan, even outside of Japan. This can be easily found in any supermarket or Daiso. The sweet corn snacks are good and a flavour that children will like. Every now and then, they come up with a seasonal flavour like this.

4. Dr. You

Not a Japanese snack! I bought this when I was in Korea and I love this!!! Will definitely be getting more the next time I visit! I love the combination of chocolate with nuts.

5. Muji assorted baked confectionery

Overall the flavour is not bad as with most Muji snacks. These are really convenient as they're individually packed so you can conveniently carry some in your bag. Plus they come in 2 flavours so you won't get bored of the same taste.

6. Muji matcha chocolate coated strawberry

Freeze fried strawberries covered in chocolate always makes for a good snack! The strawberries are slightly sour but goes well with the sweet matcha chocolate.

7. Muji chocolate coated strawberry

This is better for those who prefer less sweet chocolate.

8. Muji Pretzel anchovy and garlic

Super flavourful! Love these. I think they make a perfect beer snack.

9. Calbee giza giza chicken consomme

Good for those who prefer thicker chips.

10. Emitas cream cheese cake

I think this is more like tart than a cake but nonetheless, this was delicious and perfect for a lunch bento dessert.

Eating Japan - Snack series 22

1. Kettle Hickory Honey Barbeque

I bought this because of the interesting flavour. The flavour itself was nice, but I never really like the texture of kettle brand chips.

2. Sweet Choco Waffle

Love a good waffle snack, especially when they're covered in chocolate. This here is especially good for snacking in the office.

3. Calbee Yakiton

This yakiton flavour is a Saitama special and it was yummy~

4. Spicy chips form 711

This one here is always good when you're craving for some spicy chips and there aren't many options here.

5. Leafy pie

This snack here is yummy if you like baked pie crusts that's covered in chocolate.

6. Calbee Consomme chips

A L sized chip is exactly the comfort food required for a cold night after a day of hard work.

7. Lotte Toppo bitter chocolate

While I enjoyed it, I feel like I prefer Pocky over this.

8. Honey Roasted Peanuts

I absolutely loved this. I can't stop snacking on this! This reminds of the peanuts that you get while on the plane.

9. Shio Butter flavoured chips

Japan has a lot of butter flavoured chips and they're yummy! While this is good, I prefer honey butter or shoyu butter.

10. Eden spicy pumkin

I bought this in an attempt to snack on healthier food. While it says spicy, it wasn't really that spicy. I think I prefer the normal ones.

Eating Japan - Snack series 21

1. Fritolay Tomato & Cheese

Love nachos and this one here is yummy~

2. Buschese lady snack

I bought this for work and it was too sweet for my liking.

3. Natural Calbee baked hard chips

As the name suggests, this is supposed to be the healthier version of the normal calbee chips, but this is also not as delicious.

4.  Lotte Sasha

This chocolate is chestnut flavoured and it's made in a way that it's essentially threads of chocolate layers stacked together, which creates an interesting texture.

5. Niku no hanamasa beef yakiniku

This chips here has a nice thickness but the flavour is not for me. I found it a little too salty.

6. Morinaga Cacao 70

I really like this because the chocolate has a nice bitter flavour to them and they come in individual sticks with almonds.

7. Lays sour cream & onion

A flavour that I love and miss here in Japan. Always good~

8. Libera bitter

This chocolate here apparently has lower fat and sugar content than regular sugar. It has a cute cuboidal shape and holds it's shape well. It's not too bad if you want something that doesn't melt as easily and travels well.

9. Irvins and The Golden Duck salted egg chips

Salted egg chips have officially become one of my favourite flavour to have for chips! The flavour s intense and stronger than most flavours! You also get a kick from the spice! These 2 brands here are my favourite~!!!! Highly recommend them~!

10. Barbaras Cheese puffs

I bought these corn cheese puffs from iherb and they were good. It was my first time trying a gluten-free snack.

Eating Japan - Snack series 20

1. Cheese cheese cheese

Mozzarella, camembert and cheddar cheese.... all in one!

2. Gunma chan print milk cookies

As we bought so many boxes of goodies from the gift shop at Kusatsu onsen, we were given this free.

While I'm not a fan of milk,  the cookies were yummy! Makes a great gift too.

3. Premium morning milk tea

Smells like milk tea, tastes like milk tea but looks nothing like one. Interesting drink concept they're selling here.

4. Asahi almond crackers

Love this. Again another snack with a packaging that makes it look healthy. Heehee, but I genuinely like this and feel that this is pretty nutrient packed.

5. Natural Calbee hard chips in baked onion

It says baked... so I cheated myself into thinking that this is healthy hahaha...I still prefer the normal calbee chips.

6. Meiji galbo

If you haven't tried this, you need to get this! You will not regret it!

7. Lotte chocopie

I had 2 every weekday at work when I first started at my new company. A pack of 9 only lasts a week.

8. Black thunder

If you like oreo cookies with chocolate, you will love this snack.

9. Xylish gums

Yummy gums!

10. Niku no hanamasa salted lemon beef tongue flavoured chips

It was a weird favour for me and I didn't really enjoyed it.

Eating Japan - Snack series 19

1. Calbee uma shio

Got cheated into buying this just because it says  salt from France on the package but it's not like I can tell the difference Lol

2. Orange juice

This orange juice here is really good. There's real pulps in it so you feel healthy drinking it.

3. Morinaga milk tea cake

I thought that this looks interesting as a work place snack and this flavour should be nice as the weather gets cold.  The cake is soft and goes well with the cream but I don't think I'll buy this again as I don't really like it.

4. Xylitol sugar free gums

Yummy gums that are good for any occasion!

5. Lotte Toppo bitter chocolate

Stick snacks like these are always good. I somehow feel that lotte's ones doesn't taste as good compared to pocky.

6. Salty lemonade sparkling

This was yummy and refreshing for a hot day!

7. Japanese style pecan nuts chocolate

Bought these from Kusatsu onsen when I visited with my parents.

These are super yummy and I can't get enough of them! We bought so many boxes and I'm glad we did! I will definitely buy this again if I see it.

8. Doutour peach tea

I guess I thought this was healthy just because it says that it contains collagen haha. . but I'm really not sure if my body actually absorbs it.

9. Kiwi fruit drink

As the Orange one tasted superb, I thought I'd try the kiwi one too and nope, what a wrong move that was. I should've just sticked to orange.

10. YBC sour cream chips

Sour cream chips are relatively rare in Japan and you sort of miss this flavour after not having it for some time. Hence I was tempted to buy this when I saw it.
