Hang Li Poh Well

Hang Li Poh Well (Perigi Raja)

Built in 1459 by the followers of Hang Li Poh who is a Chinese princess who married the Sultan of Malacca. The well supposedly never dried up during days of old and was the only source of water supply during great droughts.

According to history, the well was poisoned in 1511 to rid the place of enemies before being closed in 1677 by the Dutch. Well, it seems that it is now a wishing well...

As with other tourists, we came, we snapped and we left! hehee....

Sukiya

Sukiya at Paradigm Mall.

This was from the first time I went there with A and the second time was for my Bday last year. Then I'll be going there again for the third time this weekend!
 hahaa...

Well since I don't take beef and dislike mutton, chicken is the only meat for me.

You have a choice of 2 soup base. These were sukiyaki and kimchi. Love the sukiyaki one! So sweet and makes everything tastes great!

Since there's a free flow of fungus and veges, we filled our pots up with them.

The thinly sliced beef and mutton.

With A, before we indulge in our fattening lunch buffet! :D

Good and healthy food~ plus they also provide free flow ice cream!!

Pasta Zanmai

Sigh~ it's really tiring to get mad at someone and even more tiring afterwards. I couldn't even sleep the night before. But I feel that disciplining them at the beginning will be much better than having to try and save them each and every time something happens.

22.01.13

Today is such a tiring day emotionally. It is sometimes difficult to work with people who have different work ethics that you do, but I guess that is where I am still not mature enough. Then when I get angry about it, I have to voice it out and when I do things turn ugly......

After that I will feel super bad that I blew up on someone as I do right now and then cry. After which I spend another few hours feeling emotional, ready to burst in tears. Really hate this feeling~which is why I enjoy company of people who won't make me feel this way.

I wish I could train myself to be more mindful as in this article here (CLICK!). Time for reflection~

Nadaje Mille Crepe

Before I went to Malacca, I have already read many food blogs featuring this little shop in Malacca called Nadaje which is famous for their mille crepe cakes.

We had to queue for about an hour before we got a seat but it was all worth it .....look at our seating area!! :D heehe.....

The crepes~ there's more actually. Can't remember their names but they were good. However, it's something that meant to be shared with friends. You'll get stuffed pretty quickly as it is filled with cream.

Really like this chandelier above us~ hehe...

Spotted: The girls who shared a room~

With everyone~ So classy...

16/01/13

It's only mid of the month of this new year and it felt like so many things had happened. Did so much and there is still so much more to do. It seems like time is never enough!!

Busy, busy, busy....

Then there's so many huge decisions to make! I don't like it when things are hidden with too many p&c information. It makes making decisions to much more difficult and especially when it's hard to fully weight out the pros and cons.

hmm....Actually I think the worst part is picking the one with the more cons because you feel like it's the safer option. Argh~ if only things were as easy as flipping a coin. Maybe it is....but I just like to ponder over things and in the end, make them more complicated than they really seem.

`~*~`~*~`~*~`

Dinner with family at Canton-I!!!

Actually I don't know the names of all the dishes that we had as mum was the one who ordered them, but they were good!

I love this melon soup~ yummy!!!

A vegetable dish with crunchy cashew nuts.

Beancurd with bacon and broiled broccoli on the side.  The beancurd was amazing but I didn't enjoy the bacon as much.

Keke...It's usually quite rare for me to have chinese meals like these when dining out as I usually favour japanese or italian. :D

14/01/13

JM says the funniest things sometime.

Today when we were sampling some of the cookies from Camille's parents, she said that it tasted like "The cookie that the King sold!".

WHATT~??? Which King sells cookie??

"The cookie from the King's bakery....."

^_^!!!

Durian Cendol

Durian cendol at San Shu Gong in Jonker street.

Here's where we queue up to buy food and drinks.

Their most famous dish is this......hehe, not everyone can stomach it but definitely a taste of heaven for those who love durians.

The shop lots in the area are really old as you can see from their built.....the long and narrow shops with really high ceilings. Some even have random hallways or stairs that are connected to nowhere as they are no longer in use.

The place was really packed. Being the pampered us, we needed air-conditioning!! and we were lucky enough to get a table by the counter.

Trying to pose with 2 cendols. The packaging is really cute, guess its for easy handling....of just for marketing purposes to differentiate themselves from so many others in the area who serve the same thing.

An upclose pic~

Unfortunately, this one looks a bit disgusting and sad. The paper bowl was only half filled and it definitely look nothing like the one advertised on the bunting.

Overall, it was a good first time for me as I've never tried durian cendol before. However, I still prefer the normal cendol~

Coconut Shake

Mama and Daddy Ong brought us to this place called Klebang Coconut Shake, where they're supposed to serve really good coconut shake.

Was really excited as I never had any coconut shake before~

Ta-da~ Behold the coconut shake topped with vanilla ice cream!!!

Yummy ice blended coconut, really refreshing on a hot day!

The pretty ladies~

If you are in a rush, you can even take away the coconut shake at a road-side stall right along the main road before the actual shop.

Oh...and this here is the Straits of Malacca which Jeremy called "a sea". Thus, prompting me to call it the South China Sea. How was I to know that Malacca was actually on the other side of the Peninsula facing Sumatra!!! ^_^!

Yummy~ :D

Oyster maki roll for sharing...

Lastly, it's picture time. hm....the guys seem to have spotted something interesting on the wall while the girls posed happily~
