After class

Went for lunch with H after class at Pasta Zanmai and here's what we had:

Mini teriyaki chicken pizza

I always enjoy their pizza because of the sweet, savoury sauce which went really well with the onsen tamago! And personally, I'm just a huge fan of thin crust pizzas!!!

Mini hotate pizza

Mini ebi tempura gomadare pasta

I've always been a fan of their gomadare pasta and I order this dish pretty often.

Mini teriyaki chicken pasta

I'd say it's a pretty good deal, both sets were RM29 with a mini pasta and a mini pizza! I always prefer the mini set as you get to try more variety with the same price.

We also ordered a plate of tortilla wrapped sushi to share. Unfortunately, we were both not a fan of tortilla wrapper sushi, so we didn't really enjoy this.

Sensei was really nice, as a return for the scarf that I bought him from Bali, he bought this as a souvenir for me from Japan!

Day out with cousins

Spent the night at cousin's house. It has been a long time since we had a sleep over like that at her place.

The next day, we went to Pyramid for ice skating.....again, something that we have not done together in years!!

While we were rusty, we all did fine and had fun.

After ice skating, we headed to Sushi Zanmai for a late lunch and here's what we had~

Hotate~

Chuka wakame~

Sakura ebi inari sushi, mentai tamago, mentai salmon

Soft-shell crab maki

Dragon roll with unagi

Sakura ebi sushi roll

Not sure why, but it feels like I haven't been to Zanmai in months and it was good to have some of their sushis again.

First yee sang of 2016

Last night Ursula and I went for our first yee sang of the year at Sushi Zanmai. Looks pretty but then the sauce was too sour to our liking this year.

California maki, the classic non-japan origin maki

Last night was sushi night~!!! Tsubugai, amaebi, wakame and inari sushi on the front platter and on the second platter, sakura ebi inari, salmon mentai, awabi mentai and tamago mentai sushi.

Then lastly an ika geso maki

Lol~ our rice packed dinner!!!

May this year be an amazing year and all the wishes we made while tossing the yee sang come true!

Lunch again with H after class last week.....

Somehow I totally forgot to take pictures of all the food that we had....but hey, at least there's this one here which H remembered to take!

I'm wondering if I will miss the sushi in Malaysia. This is because sushi here is slightly different from that in Japan. Of course we can get authentic sushi here too but it's a different country after all and somehow things will change to suit the taste of the local people.

Kushiyaki Kuni 串焼邦 at Plaza Damas, Hartamas

We celebrated Amanda's Bday at Kushiyaki Kuni 串焼邦 at Plaza Damas, Hartamas.

It was our first visit there~

Torobuta sumiyaki ponzu RM38.
This pork neck was super good! The meat was.....springy and the onions at the bottom, crunchy!

Surumeika yaki RM28.
We loved this one too as the squid was lovely~

Butabara enoki RM6, Butabara negi RM6 and Buta kushi RM5.
We also ordered various skewers to be shared among us: pork and eringi mushroom, pork and leek, pork belly.

Oden which was delicious but also pricey....This costs RM38.

More skewers: pork with quail eggs and pork with leek. The Uzura bacon costs RM10.

I really enjoyed the skewers~ The meat was grilled to perfection! Juicy and just the sauce that they gave, went really well with the skewers!

After that we went for desserts at Madame Waffle at Midvalley where we ordered 2 sets:

One was the matcha waffle with vanilla lavender ice cream.

The second one is the original waffle with salted caramel ice cream.

To end the night, we went for a movie together. We watched the Frankenstein which starred Daniel Radcliffe! hehee, the first movie I ever watched that featured him ever since Harry Potter.

Goku Raku Ramen, Paradigm Mall

Dinner at Goku Raku Ramen at Paradigm Mall before dance class.

I ordered the Miso tonkotsu ramen (small) and the soup was good. Flavourful and not that salty! I aso enjoyed the pork as they were juicy and melts in the mouth.

An interesting chicken dish introduced by D. This was delicious too as the chicken was juicy and the sauce went well with the meat.

My order of the Utsunomiya gyoza which surprised A and D as they've never seen gyozas served this way before. hehehe.....

Now that we have moved to a new studio. We will be visiting Paradigm Mall very often for meals.....

Ichiro & Nadaje at 1U and Juicee & Spitalfield's Gastrobar at Atria Shopping Gallery

Sunday girl's day out with Amanda

Lunch at Ichiro at 1U

Salmon Sahimi. This was super fresh~ we absolutely love this!

Volcano Roll, oh....how I love the scallops and the sauce~!!!

Yummy~ chawan mushi

Tempura

Loved this Unagi Roll too......

This was my second visit to Ichiro and no regrets once again! Always soo good and delicious! <3

After that we went shopping and then stopped by Nadaje for desserts. I'm not a huge fan of mille crepe but these were good. However, I still feel that it's better to share these.....

Chocolate~

Rum and raisin~

We then headed over to Atria Shopping Gallery because we thought of having Inside Scoop nearby. However, instead......we dropped by Juicee for some juice. Love this shop~ the have stations for customers to charge their phones while there!

After that, we grabbed late dinner at Spitalfield's Gastrobar at Atria Shopping Gallery.

We ordered this poshy porky carbonara spaghetti, which I absolutely love!!!! Super creamy~

Pork ribs~ which were ok. I'd like them better if they were less burnt.

Definitely another great day of hanging and catching up~!!
