Enoshima light up

At night, we went to Enoshima for the winter illumination.

Along the way there, we got a nice view of the sunset albeit slightly late.

As it was winter and the air was dry, we got a nice view of Mount Fuji in the background.

On that day, the moon was also super big. There were many people taking pictures of the moon too. We too tried to take pictures to show how big it was, but it was hard to capture such a view with our smart phones.

This illumination is called the Shonan no Hoseki illumination.

This is at the Samuel Cocking Garden in Enoshima and you do have to pay to enter.

The place is really nice. While there are many people there, you can take some nice pictures without anyone in the background because the area is big.

We had to queue for about an hour to get up this tower for a view of the garden from the top.

The view from above was nice but the queue itself was torturing as it was super cold due to the strong wind.

While you had to queue in line to get on an elevator to go up, you can opt to walk down using the stairs.

On the opposite side, we can see the bridge that we had crossed to get to the island.

You can see the sea from the top.

There was also an area with lots of tulips.

There is also an area which has Chinese influences.

As we were super hungry, we bought some fried chicken from the little stall there to ease our hunger.

I really like this area with this cute little lamps.

There were not as many people in this area and it looks enchanted. Reminds me of a Disney Princess Animation.

As it got nearer to the closing time, there were lesser people there.

It made it easier to snap pictures with a tripod as there aren't as many people passing by between you and the camera.

When I said tripod, I was actually using a small table tripod LOL

Lastly, our failed attempt at a selfie with the super moon, which looked super tiny in this picture.

Lunch with ex-colleague

Met up with an ex-colleague for lunch at Marunouchi at my favourite lunch place!

Every time I come, I order this platter below because you get to try a it of everything!

Wefie~

It was near Xmas and Xmas decorations were everywhere!!

I was surprised to see a cherry blossom tree bloom in December.

Can you spot the flowers?

One of the best part of Xmas in Japan are illuminations~

I really enjoyed the decoration and illumination in this mall.

The amazing view of Tokyo station~

This area here has been under construction for the longest time and it's finally completed!

More X'mas illuminations~

I was hoping to see Tokyo station light up at night and hence was hanging around in the area till night.

I'm really glad that we met up as it was nice to catch up.

Light up at Tokyo station at night~

The streets were also pretty~

For dinner, we went to ramen street in Tokyo station. I absolutely love this ramen because of the red paste that makes the soup slightly spicy.

Shiodome Caretta

I was near Shimbashi one night and decided to go to Shiodome Caretta to check out the illumination by myself.

While I was there alone, I still enjoyed the illumination.

There were many people there, especially couples....on the left side of this picture queuing up to get a picture by the bell.

The bell was situated in front of this white/pink Xmas tree. Couple would ring the bell and pose for a picture, I don't think it is free though. I saw a queue for tickets inside.

Soo pretty~ It feels like the lights lightened up my heart too~ :D

Roppongi Illumination & スギモト

Dinner again at Sugimoto (お肉の専門店 スギモト) in Roppongi with Kheng.

Cute Xmas tree with many Santas on it~

Two shot~

Really enjoyed the illumination. If only it wasn't that cold that day.....it wasn't just the cold temperature but the wind was super strong too!!! It was soo cold to the point that it's painful on the skin!

Love the view of Tokyo Tower~

One can never get tired of this view

Finally had a good look at this illumintion. It wa raining the last time I was here and hence, I didn't really get to enjoy the view.
