Martini Burger & Ben&Jerry's

Mish and I went for lunch at Martini burger at Kagurazaka, Shinjuku.

Mish ordered the Brooklyn (top) that came with Mushrooms, Gouda cheese, Béarnaise sauce (1,690 yen).

I ordered the West Side burger that came with Bacon, onions, barbecue sauce (1,690 yen).

All the burgers came with a choice of home-made sides: I picked the Creamed spinach while Mish chose Mac ‘n cheese.

Love my burger, it was delicious~

After that we went over to Omotesando for Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

Luke's lobster

Second day of CNY~

Lunch with P at Luke's Lobster.

We queued for almost 30 mins for their famous lobster roll which was delicious but small.

As lunch was not filling enough, we decided to join the crowd behind to queue for gyozas at 餃子楼(gyozaro).

Hmmm.....good and cheap gyozas.

After that we went shopping around Omotesando and spotted this cute little section at Kiddy land. Hahaha......cute boxers for your boyfriend anyone?

For tea break, we stopped by Afternoon Tea for some desserts.

I ordered this strawberry french toast which was good but not enough to satisfy my appetite.

P went home after that and I went for my first dodge ball game.

Look what I found in my post? A beautiful self-made new year card from YL.

Eating Japan - Snack series 13

1. Harry Potter cookie set

I was seriously tempted to buy this because I wanted the box to store things in my room.

It was expensive and I spent the last few thousand yen I had in my wallet on this here. I can't help it. You know you really want something when you keep walking to the same section of a store to check it out. So in the end, I know I had to buy it, I really wanted the box.

This box set here contains 4 different chocolate rice puff flavours - strawberry, milk, caramel and milk tea. I tried them and they were all good, especially the caramel one.

2. Topvalu tortilla chips

I really like this tortilla chips from Topvalu, they're really good and would go so well with salsa. Unfortunately, I was only able to buy them this once time. I never saw them again........

3. Daiso select peeled roasted chestnut

Good chestnuts are available for a high price. When I saw these at Daiso, I was tempted to buy them because they're only 100 yen. Since it's written on the package that they're A grade, it can't be that bad right?

While they're not as good as the more expensive ones, these were good too,

4. Family Mart's Cheese and fruit stick tart

Received this from a colleague and it was good. It's like a mini cheese tart.

5. Family Mart Mexican chips

These chips here are Tacos flavoured and they are well seasoned. They taste really good on their own. I like them because they are thick and crunchy.

6. Daiso select organic chestnut

I bought another pack to try because the previous one was good. This one here is organic and the chestnuts are a lot smaller in size.

7. Eisai BB Sparking

I decided to buy a pack of 6 and keep them at home for use whenever I need them. I figured based on my first purchase that this could be used as an energy booster. Hence, these will be kept as stock for days when I'm tired and not feeling well.

8. Kabaya chocolate pretzel

My cheap go to when I'm craving for Pocky. While these are slightly cheaper, they're good too. It's just that the chocolate is not as rich.

9. Calpis - Ichigo

My colleague chose this for me when we went to her place for steamboat one night. I guess they figured that I might like this since it is strawberry flavoured and yes, they were right.

10. Suntory Premium - blood orange

This was the other drink that my colleagues bought. They bought an alcoholic and a non-alcoholic drink for each person. It's my first time drinking this and while I don't usually drink alcohol, this was not bitter and is easy to drink.

11. Suntory Yogurina

I received this free drink at Yoyogi Park one day when I was walking by.  At first, I thought that this was mineral water, till I drank it and found out that it tasted like yoghurt. What a surprise that was! But so refreshing~

Malaysian food~

Celebrating CNY like a true Malaysian at a Malaysian restaurant in Tokyo.

We visited Malay Kampong at Kayabacho.

Cheers~
Free keropok

Super good roti canai at 350yen. This was so good that we ordered a second plate.

4 sticks of chicken satay at 840yen. Yes, they are expensive but they taste like home.

Nasi lemak, 1000yen.

The restaurant was packed with not just Malaysians but Japanese too. Next to us was a table filled with Malaysian university students, presumably celebrating CNY there too.

Shinagawa Aqua park

It was CNY~

YH and I decided to visit the Shinagawa Aqua Park because we both saw on facebook that they had a special theme called Snow Aquarium going on then.

Entrance fees - 1,350 yen

The Snow Aquarium theme was absolutely mesmerizing, especially the snow themed dolphin show.

This aquarium is cheaper compared to the Enoshima Aquarium and also smaller.

Even so, they had some interesting elements, such as the interactive touch panel boards that were available when we first entered, to provide us with information where the fishes are from and their habitats.

Look at these cute little fishes in their fish tanks that had been decorated with Xmas themed items.

:D

The beautiful section dedicated to jelly fish.

I feel that this is one of the most beautiful section in most aquariums that I have visited.

Stunningly beautiful~

I'm just floating around~

heehee~

Hello there, my friend!

At the aquarium, we managed to catch the seal and penguin feeding show~
A first for me and it was definitely interesting to see how smart they are.

There is also a huge glass tunnel where we get to enjoy viewing all sorts of fishing swimming above us. I particularly enjoyed looking at the stingrays.

There's this section where there were many tubes like these that were filled with fish skeletons. They looked pretty but I'm not sure these are natural of they've been treated with any chemicals to look this way.

An interesting looking fish.....looked almost like a piece of rock.

Doesn't he look happy?

As we entered the aquarium, there was a section where they took pictures for us for free and we'd receive a card like this with the picture on it. If we want a bigger version, we would have to pay for it, but we didn't want to buy one.

So this is all we got. It's still a good picture though.
