Eating Japan - Snack series 10

1. StyleONE kaisen mirin age

Kinda reminds me of a kinds of Malaysian keropok. The chips are sightly sticky and sweet on the outside. Yummy~

2. Royal Beauty Kiregummy

The packaging definitely looks a lot better than the actual taste of the gummies. Won't be buying a second pack.

3. Pure gummy - Juicy grape gummy

Love the texture of these gummies. Plus they're sugar coated so you get that extra 'crunch'. If that's not good enough, they're packed with collagen and Vitamin C!

4. Fujiya home pie in butter and chocolate flavour

I really enjoy the texture of this, as I've mentioned before. I purchased their normal one previously and this time I bought their Halloween edition that came in chocolate flavour too and I like it more than the butter one.

5. Umaibo mentai flavour

You can never go wrong with mentai flavour~! When in doubt, just grab it!

6. QBB baby cheese in black pepper

Don't underestimate this! It's packed with black pepper and is very flavourful!

7. BAKE chocolat fondue au

While this is good, it wasn't as melty in the centre as I thought it would be.

8. Hachimitsu to Karin nodokan

This one here uses black sugar from Okinawa and it is delicious~

9. galbo hokkori maron

Really enjoy these chestnut flavoured mini galbo. Super good~

10. Pure collagen 4500mg for inner support

As I said before above, I love the texture of gummies from pure. The best part of all is that they're packed with collagen. So you get to enjoy gummy and be healthy!

Maison Kayser Paris & 町村農場丸の内店 (Machimura Farm)

We were excited to grab some cakes at Maison Kayser Paris, Marunouchi but we met with disappointments from the bad service.

We opted to dine in and it took forever for us to get some service. We were seated for a long time, no one came to ask us what cakes we wanted and no one served us table water. They should at least brief us on what's the standard protocol for service there!

So I just walked up to the counter to order some cakes!

The cakes were just ok. Nothing to shout about. We seriously couldn't understand the reason for the bad service or lack of service at this place!

After that, we tried to walk off the calories around Marunouchi area and walked into 町村農場丸の内店 (Machimura Farm)  where Mish and Moon increased their calorie intake with some very yummy milk products.

Moon opted for a sundae and Mish for a yoghurt drink~

After that, we walked toward the Imperial Palace to catch these beautiful ginko trees.

There was even a couple there shooting their wedding pictures.

Mish, very happily photobombing!

Nature is amazing~

My fairy tale

For the longest time I've been wondering when will my turn come. I've waited and waited for a long time for the moment where my dream guy will appear in my life and sweep me off my feet. Unfortunately for me, years have passed and there's no sign of him anywhere. Life's not a fairy tale after all. :)

I've thought over and over again in my head if I'm being too intimidating? Too serious? Not proactive enough? Too smart? Not pretty enough?

I've seen so many articles online telling girls how they should act or what they should do to attract the guy that they are interested in to them. If every girl were to act the same way, how would guys differentiate them? How would the girl stand out?

I could act that way too if I wanted to but it's not for me. I don't believe in playing games, not especially with a potential future partner. I want to present the real me because I want the person to know from the start the kind of person I am. I think it would be really sweet if the guy could truly see me for who I am and accept every part of me, including the ugly parts.

In the long term, every relationship will go through difficult moments where there are arguments or disagreements or obstacles. To me, if a guy could see me at my lowest point and still accept me for who I am. He's someone I would hold on to.

At one point in my life, I thought I had met someone special. I was meeting him almost as often my own best friend and we were talking to each other almost every day. In one of the meetings with him, he was telling me how amazing he thinks I am because of all that I have achieved, the things that I can do and the type of person that I am. At that moment, I thought that it was the sweetest thing that a guy have ever told me because it mentioned nothing about my outward appearance....just me on the inside and my achievements.

While he has dropped subtle hints, he has never vocally voiced it out that he has a thing for me. It was something that I've always wondered about. Through time, I realised that everything was just in my head. Time showed me that the guy had no interest in me at all and at my lowest point, I didn't even know if I was his friend. This showed me that of course he had nice things to say about me when I had a lot to offer to the friendship and needed nothing in return. When the situation was switched, things became different.

Through this experience, I truly began to understand the meaning of the advice 3 really good friends told me on 3 separate occasions.

"If a guy really love you, you don't have to do anything, you will know it through his actions."

While I've never been the type to chase after boys as I'm usually on the passive side, I have thoughts on whether I'm being too passive. An older male acquaintance once told me that males too get intimidated and needed to be reassured or given hope before they dared to chase after a girl. At that point, I thought that maybe if I created more opportunities to meet, he would get it.....e.g. to go for meals together. But unfortunately, I just ended up in disappointments each time.

Thankfully, I've walked out of this experience a stronger person. I'm still the same little girl on the inside waiting for her prince charming to appear. While it may seem stupid to just wait again, that's exactly what I'm going to do. There's no point in chasing love and guessing if someone is the one. There's is also no need for me to do anything extra because as they said, "if you're the one he wants, he would work hard to make it happen".

So how will I know if he's the one? That one special moment when my heart gets touched. The moment when even my brain is questioning whatever did I do in my life to deserve to have this angel by my side. :)

魚がし日本一 Ikebukuro

Lunch date with Mish and Moon at 魚がし日本一 Standing sushi bar, Ikebukuro.

This engawa sushi here was highly recommended by Mish who frequents this place and it was really good.

As the name suggests, there are no chairs. You stand in front of the sushi master, place your orders and watch him make your sushi,

Salmon and salmon mentai sushi~

My Cream Mikke, Ikebukuro

My Cream Mikke

I spotted this choux pastry stall while waiting for Moon and Mish. I was hungry and went to get one.

There are 2 different types of pastry, plain and chocolate. After choosing your choux pastry of choice, you get to pick your filling of choice.

I was in the mood for chocolate that day and picked both the chocolate choux to be matched with the chocolate cream~

It was very good. I like the crunchy texture of the choux, matched with the cold chocolate cream. It felt like I was having ice cream, except the cream was less cold and has a thicker consistency.

Eating Japan - Instant ramen series 5

1. Nissin Yakisoba

Every time I cook this, I cook it with lots of cabbage and the taste was just nice. I've never cook it aloe without any veg, but I suppose it might be slightly salty.

2. Nissin's shark fin noodle

This is the first time I've had a cup noodle with a soup that had a thick consistency which is similar to that of the shark fin soup. It was definitely interesting and luckily, it was good!

3. Yakimiso flavoured noodle

This one here is pretty normal and there's nothing special about the flavour.

4. Nissin French noodle demi-glaze sauce

This one here was interesting to be because I've never seen a french flavoured cup noodle, but it was weird at the same time because it was the first time I taste something like this. Hence, I don't really know what to make of this. But I do know that I won't be buying a second one.

5. Topvalu tom yam goong

Loved this one! One can never go wrong with tom yum~ spicy, sour and appetising!

6. Nissin French noodle corn pottage

Another french-flavour cup noodle and this one here has a really thick soup base. I prefer this flavour a lot more than the other but I still prefer cup noodles with Asian flavours.

7. Seafood flavour

I love this cup noodle because of the beautiful flower shaped kamaboko and the faux crab balls. So pretty~ but of course they tasted good too.
