Daiwa Roynet Hotel Chiba Station (ダイワロイネットホテル千葉駅前)

I stayed at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Chiba Station (ダイワロイネットホテル千葉駅前) for work as I had to travel at least 3 hours in the morning to my customer's place and I had a meeting at 7am in the morning.

 

I was surprised by how spacious and comfortable the room was. The hotel also seems to be opened just recently.

I booked a ladies plan and was pleasantly surprised by the amenities in my room.

I like that there was this round bed side table that was movable.

Then there is this extra sofa and leg massager!

The table was also big and comfortable for work.

Then I was also surprised to find an iron and steamer in the room!

As with other Daiwa Roynet Hotels, the bathroom is always spacious.

Look at the amount of amenities: bath salt, facial products, eye mask, mouth wash (I always bring my own because hotels usually don't provide any) and face mask!

Then of course, there is the standard.

As it was already evening when I checked in, I stopped by the convenient store nearby and got myself a cup noodle, dessert and breakfast for the next morning. I usually do not book hotel breakfast, when I have work early in the morning. 

The ramen was good and the best part was the dessert! Was surprised by the quality of this convenient store sweets.

This red bean bread here was my breakfast for the next morning.

Made it in time to the training at my customer site. I was surprised by the number of people attending and lol, I think I was the only foreign lady there.

Anyways, back to the hotel. I am pleasantly surprised by the clean and comfortable rooms at this hotel. I will definitely stay there again when I have work in this area.

 

Dimsum at 香港傳奇(LEGENDARY HONGKONG)

Grabbed dimsum for breakfast with the girls at 香港傳奇(LEGENDARY HONGKONG).

By the time we arrived, there was already a long queue outside and we did not get to enter the restaurant when they first opened, so we had to wait outside for quite sometime to get s spot.

The girls got milk tea.

These piggy buns were super cute, but they definitely looked better than their taste.

Frist prawn rolls were good.

So were the char siew sou which had a pretty thick flaky crust, but I was ok with it.

The pan fried radish cake was ok, not as good as the ones from Din Tai Fung.

Steamed har gao which I did not try.

The cheong fun had a thicker skin than expected. It would be better if the skin was thinner.

Wantan mee was not good, but he prawn wanton was very good. Highly recommend just getting it without the noodles.

We were really happy to get so many different variety of dimsum. We also other things like egg tart which I did not manage to snap a picture of.

Sadly, I had to leave after the meal as I had to travel 3 hours to Chiba to check into my hotel, for work the next day.

 

Valentine Double Date at Remerciments Okamoto (ルメルシマン オカモト)

We had the Déjeuner (デジュネ) lunch course at 4,840 JPY.

Lol, the napkin was folded into a jacket.

A very yummy cold appetizer, that is packed with umami.

Bread served was warm and went well with the butter.

The salad appetizer was pretty and yummy.

First main was fish and this was super good! I love the sauce that came with the fish!

Second meat dish was surprisingly good. That sweet and savoury sauce went really well with the dish and I like the well roasted vegetables.

Next up was the wagon dessert which I had been waiting for since the start of the meal. The wagon had various desserts on it and we are free to choose anything.

Me? 

I asked for a sample of everything that was on the wagon LOL.

I ended up with 12 pieces of petit desserts on my plate.

While I did not like everything on it due to personal preference, none of them tasted bad. I did not like some because they were either too sweet for my liking or the texture was not something that I like.

Overall, I am very happy with the quality of food and service that we received. I will definitely return. My favourite is definitely the dessert wagon because it makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop, where I want to try everything. 

Toritsune Shizendo (鳥つね 自然洞) & Yushima Tenjin Shrine (湯島天満宮)

Today, we came to Akihabara because J wanted to get a new phone. After buying his phone, we went to Toritsune Shizendo (鳥つね 自然洞) for lunch. This place has been on my google map as one of the restaurants that I really want to visit because of it's high ratings on oyakodon.

This is the tokujyo oyakodon set that J got. This costs 3,100 JPY and comes with a chicken salad and tori shinjyo, which is like a fried minced chicken meatball. This was really special as I have never seen this dish before and it was delicious.

The oyakodon itself was also yummy. I just got the normal tokujyo oyakodon for 1,800 JPY.

After lunch, we walked to Yushima Tenjin Shrine (湯島天満宮) to enjoy the peach blossoms.

There were many people and hence, hard to grab a nice shot alone without masks. This place is famous for their peach blossoms and there is a festival here every year during this time.

 

Kamakura Part2

After Hokokuji, we took the bus back to the central area and grabbed lunch at a place that we can enter quickly without much queue. 

Also, it would have to be a place that serves cooked food too for the kids.

We went to this place ran by Chinese owners which serves ramen and these shirasu kaisen don. It was great that they have big tables that catered to groups too.

After that, we walked to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.

We walked all the way up again this time.

Found and area with some torii that seemed like a really nice photo spot.

From Kamakura, we took a drive to Enoshima for some beach view and cakes.

Look at this happy little boy who got his ice crream.

There were quite a few variety in this little cafe called Cafe Maru (カフェーマル).

Each of these were 600 JPY alone and with an extra JPY, you can make it a set with drinks.
