After meeting up with YL and her mum at the airport, we went to collect out rental car.
We rented a car for our trip so that we can drive from Sapporo to Jigokudani, Hakodate and Otaru.
We stopped by the Lake Shikotsu Visitor Center while on the way to Jigokudani.
The weather was perfect and we had a nice view of the lake with the mountains in the background.

There's a nice path for those who want to walk along the lake.

When we were there, there were bunch of students preparing to canoe in the river.
Can't help but snap more picture with the beautiful lake~
The water is always so much clearer when the weather is cold.
There are some shops around the area and we popped in Tonton for lunch.
I had the tendon while J had the tonkatsu.
Food is not that great but it's sufficiently good.
After that we spent some time in the visitor's center to look at things on exhibit there.
They had an area where they showcase the animals, birds and fishes that you can find in the lake and its surrounding area.
