Eating Japan - Snack series 23

1. Karamucho Hot Chilli

This is probably the spiciest snack you can find easily in Japan. This is their special 55 year anniversary version and it came in this huge 200g bag. I'm not complaining as I crave spicy chips every now and then.

2. Gupputa Bitter chocolate

This is sort of like a low calorie snack which is suitable for those on a diet as each pack only has 52 calories. Bought this to try as ti came in a flavour that I like. The biscuits are ok....not something you would crave for.

3. Tohato caramel corn in almond caramel

Probably one of the more famous snacks from Japan, even outside of Japan. This can be easily found in any supermarket or Daiso. The sweet corn snacks are good and a flavour that children will like. Every now and then, they come up with a seasonal flavour like this.

4. Dr. You

Not a Japanese snack! I bought this when I was in Korea and I love this!!! Will definitely be getting more the next time I visit! I love the combination of chocolate with nuts.

5. Muji assorted baked confectionery

Overall the flavour is not bad as with most Muji snacks. These are really convenient as they're individually packed so you can conveniently carry some in your bag. Plus they come in 2 flavours so you won't get bored of the same taste.

6. Muji matcha chocolate coated strawberry

Freeze fried strawberries covered in chocolate always makes for a good snack! The strawberries are slightly sour but goes well with the sweet matcha chocolate.

7. Muji chocolate coated strawberry

This is better for those who prefer less sweet chocolate.

8. Muji Pretzel anchovy and garlic

Super flavourful! Love these. I think they make a perfect beer snack.

9. Calbee giza giza chicken consomme

Good for those who prefer thicker chips.

10. Emitas cream cheese cake

I think this is more like tart than a cake but nonetheless, this was delicious and perfect for a lunch bento dessert.
