Ume festival & Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo

Visiting Okurayama Park (大倉山公園)  for the Ume or plum festival.

It was super cold that day and since we were there early in the morning, it felt even colder.

There weren't many people there as we were there before the actual festival started to avoid the crowds.

By the time we left, the stalls are still setting up, getting ready to cook the food that they are going to sell.

So pretty~!

There was this paid area where one gets to enjoy hot green tea.

The reason why we were there so early was because we wanted to grab brunch at Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Meguro.

It might look like we have gotten ourselves a nice seat in front of this coffee roasting machine. In truth, this place was packed with so many people that it was hard to move around. There were no seats and we had to standby to wait for someone to leave before we take their seat.

Then we had to go queue for food. There were at least 15 groups of people in front of us when we got on the queue to grab hot food.

The good thing was that the lasagna did not disappoint. It was delicious! It will be one of the dishes that I will return for. The pizza was meh. For dessert, we got the limited edition sakura dessert and the taste was just normal.

Overall, we did not have a good experience people here due to the crowd. I assume that this place will be more enjoyable with less people as you can then sit comfortably, not have to queue that long to get food and the place would be less noisy too. The quality of the experience was not worth the price tag.
