From Everland, we took the bus service that we had booked back to the city area. As we could stop wherever we wanted, we decided to get off near Dongdaemum design plaza.
The moment we hopped off the bus, we heard a lady from a nearby stall, shouting at us in mandarin, asking if we'd like to grab some food.We obliged and ordered some stir fried squid and oden, which were ok. The ladies working there both spoke in mandarin so it was easy to order.
After supper, we walked to Dongdaemun design plaza. I've read that there are some 24 hour shopping complexes nearby for clothes but we were more interested in exploring the architecture of the DDP building.
We were surprised by the rows and rows of lighted roses that surrounded the area.
As it was almost near midnight, there were only a few people there so it was great for snapping pictures.
I suppose this s a great area for dates too as there were some benches nearby. There was also a piano at the plaza which seemed to be free for all to use. A young man was playing on the piano when we were there and it added a nice feel to the area.
