We bought an Everland + bus ticket kind of deal from Klook and I highly recommend it as it was super easy to use and very convenient.
Early in the morning, we waited at the designated bus stop near Hongik University station for the bus, hop on, and slept for about an hour on the bus to Everland.
Once there, we only had to show our voucher at the ticket gates to gain entry.
The first thing we did was hop on a cable car to the garden area of the park.
The garden is HUGE!!!
As it was early in the morning, there weren't many people in that area. Either that or it could just be that the park is really big in general and hence, not that crowded.
I really like all the decos in that area.
If only the sun wasn't so hot that day as it was hard to keep my eyes open for the pictures.
Lol~ this background with my dress gives the kampong feel.
This garden is great for those who just wanna enjoy time with their family and take nice pictures.
Like Disneyland, they also sell headsets. The only difference is that here, not many people buy or use them. In Disneysea or Disneyland, you will see many people sporting one.
heehee, J is taking Cony out for a date!
Our favourite ride in the entire park has to do with animals.
I love how they have a safari area there.
And that they have a decent amount of animals there too.
It's very rare that we get to see wild animals up close like this, especially when they are not caged.
I guess that since it was mid afternoon when we got on, it's the time when the wild cats weren't very active.
The vehicle that we're on drives past these animals and I guess they're probably used to the vehicles as they didn't even bulge when the vehicles are super close by.
For lunch, we grabbed this fried squid and prawn dish with fries.
Love how they provided us with a pair of scissors to cut the squid into pieces. The squid and prawns were delicious!
Everland also has an area for avians. It's a show where they showcased different species of birds flying in from several locations.
Mid afternoon and it was time for some snacks! We grabbed some kimbap from the convenient store in the morning and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious they were. Cheap, flavourful and filling!
It was super hot that day, so we got a mango smoothie too which was very sweet!
After going on another 2 rides, we went for dinner at KFC.
It's definitely to compare the difference between the KFC menus from Malaysia, Japan and Korea.
Overall, the chicken is good but as I'm not a fan of biscuits, I didn't enjoy it.
Late at night, we caught some parades which were stunning!
As it was near Halloween when we visited, they also had some Halloween events like a Halloween show which we tried to catch. But the crowd was big and the locals are tall. I was standing there but couldn't see anything.
I noticed that it was very common for bfs to carry or give their gfs a lift by the waist. Hence, it's even harder for those behind to see anything. Also, be prepared to be pushed and have people trying to squeeze to the front in groups! We also met a super rude Korean guy there. Not a good experience. I've watched many parades in Disneyland/ Disneysea and I've never had people squeezing their way to the front in groups by holding each other's hands.
After the show ended, the 'monsters' rushed out to scare people and to take pictures with them. Some people get super creeped out and wouldn't stop screaming, while some rushed into take selfies with the monsters.
Overall, I felt that it's worth going to Everland for it's safari. Their parades or shows are good too. I can't really comment much on the rides as I only went on a few but they do have many 3D/4D rides.
