The day, we went on a road trip to Shizuoka.
But first we need to fill our tummy with some yummy bread for breakfast first.
Along the way, we stopped by Expasa for lunch at a gyudon place.
The rest area was super busy and all the restaurants were packed. So we walked into one where it was easier to get seats.
The food was not too bad considering the condition and area.
While the presentation wasn't that great, the taste was good.
After a heavy lunch, we decided to try out luck at catching Mount Fuji.
On the second floor, is this area where there's ashiyu. A place for you to soak your feet while you eat and rest.
From there, you can walk out to the open balcony where you're supposed to be able to get an amazing view of Mount Fuji. But it seems that we were unlucky that day as there was this big cloud blocking Mount Fuji through out our drive there.
Oh well, but we still decided to snap a picture there.
Before continuing on with our trip, bought the seasonal Starbucks goma ice blend for daddy to try.
Our rental car surprisingly has my birth date on it!
Later on in the day, we finally got a glimpse of Mount Fuji as we got nearer to Shimizu.
Once near Shimizu, you get a nice view of the sea~ :D
