Izu Imaihama Tokyu Hotel (伊豆今井浜東急ホテル)

We stayed at Izu Imaihama Tokyu Hotel (伊豆今井浜東急ホテル) for this trip to the east side of Izu.

We got a really nice room with a balcony and a view of the sea.

There is an onsen in the hotel and hence there are slippers for use in the hotel when you go to the onsen.

This room is definitely on of the biggest that I've stayed in, in terms of size, in Japan.

Was super excited about the fact that it came with a balcony that you can actually walk out onto and sit there to enjoy the view too. I don't remember staying in a room with a balcony before.

The tea area with free snacks and complimentary mineral water.

The sink area which is outside of the bathroom and toilet.

An actual bathroom that's not a unit bathroom. Not that I had a chance to use the bathtub anyways as I was enjoying the onsen.

If only this was summer...............

....then I could actually get into the water, of both the pool and the sea.

Sadly, it was still June and the season for water activity has not started yet in Japan, so I can't use the pool even if I wanted to.

The hallway~

One of the restaurants in the hotel.

We chose to dine in the hotel that night as there were no restaurants nearby and we wanted to enjoy the onsen.

I had the grilled eel while J ordered the beef.

It seems other diners had similar thoughts too because the restaurant quickly filled up after we have entered.

Luckily we got a really nice seat as we were one of the earlier ones.

Food was delicious and not too pricey, even though it is expensive.

But considering the fact that we are in a pretty fancy hotel and usually for dinner, the price would be way higher than this.

Overall, we were very satisfied with both the service and taste.

Even ordered an interesting black bean ice cream for dessert. First time having black bean ice cream and it was yummy. I like that they had actual beans in them.

Took a short walk to the beach after dinner.

It was so nice to be by the sea~ to listen to the waves.

Walked around the common spaces in the hotel to see what they had to offer.

Checking out the restaurant for breakfast.

They had this lounge area for you to read books or just chill.

There is also a really big play area for kids. There is also an area for reading with newspapers for guests.

After exploring the shared spaces, we went to onsen and after that had some cheese tart for dessert. I bought these before at a convenient store before taking the bus to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel was amazing!

There were many different options and the food was yummy~

After a super heavy breakfast, we went back to the beach and explored around.

It was drizzling a little that morning and there were only another couple and family on the beach other than us.

We walked quite a distance away from the hotel and found these rocks which we would not have seen when the tide is high.

I really liked the place......if only we got more sun!!!

As the clouds were blocking the sun, everything looked so gloomy.

After that, we checked out and took the hotel shuttle us back to the station to take the train home.

By then, the clouds had dispersed and we finally got sun! Look at how blue the sea is now, compared to in the morning, when everything looked grey!

I really liked the Izu Maihama Tokyu Hotel but it is expensive! But you do get a really nice onsen at the hotel. Plus it has a pool~ that you can use provided that you visit at a period when the pool is usable.
