Day out in Marunouchi, Hibiya and Ginza area

First off, we grabbed lunch at one of my favourite lunch place.

I love their croissants~ they're freshly baked and super yummy!

YL had the pasta while I had the pork.

As we were late, my favourite lunch plate has been sold out.

After that, we went to grab some pictures with the iconic Tokyo station building.

:D

After that, we walked to Hibiya to check out the new mall which we had to queue in to get to!

And we got to take pictures with Godzilla~ Lol

After that, we walked to Ginza for some watermelon, which was super sweet!

We also dropped by Ginza Six to check out their rooftop garden.

We were joined by Yh in Ginza.

We then waked all the way back to Tokyo station for Sora no iro's vegan ramen.

It's interesting that different shop serves different ramen.

We all ordered this vegan ramen which had a carrot based soup.

I only wished that they gave us more soup!

I really enjoy the soup and all the vegetable toppings!

Eating Japan - Snack series 21

1. Fritolay Tomato & Cheese

Love nachos and this one here is yummy~

2. Buschese lady snack

I bought this for work and it was too sweet for my liking.

3. Natural Calbee baked hard chips

As the name suggests, this is supposed to be the healthier version of the normal calbee chips, but this is also not as delicious.

4.  Lotte Sasha

This chocolate is chestnut flavoured and it's made in a way that it's essentially threads of chocolate layers stacked together, which creates an interesting texture.

5. Niku no hanamasa beef yakiniku

This chips here has a nice thickness but the flavour is not for me. I found it a little too salty.

6. Morinaga Cacao 70

I really like this because the chocolate has a nice bitter flavour to them and they come in individual sticks with almonds.

7. Lays sour cream & onion

A flavour that I love and miss here in Japan. Always good~

8. Libera bitter

This chocolate here apparently has lower fat and sugar content than regular sugar. It has a cute cuboidal shape and holds it's shape well. It's not too bad if you want something that doesn't melt as easily and travels well.

9. Irvins and The Golden Duck salted egg chips

Salted egg chips have officially become one of my favourite flavour to have for chips! The flavour s intense and stronger than most flavours! You also get a kick from the spice! These 2 brands here are my favourite~!!!! Highly recommend them~!

10. Barbaras Cheese puffs

I bought these corn cheese puffs from iherb and they were good. It was my first time trying a gluten-free snack.

DisneySea during Golden Week

DisneySea is the last place I want to visit during Golden Week because of the crowds. But because YL is only here for a short time, we had to make a visit while she's here.

Look at the queue from the entrance to Toy Story!

But honestly, it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. Probably because it was raining in the morning and the wind was super strong. Also, we didn't know that when the wind is strong, the parades/ shows get cancelled. So maybe that's why, it wasn't as crowded as we expected it to be.

The good side is that the queues for food and rides were shorter.

The down side was that all the parades and shows were cancelled. The parades/shows at DisneySea are really good and should not be missed.

Another thing that we missed was the fireworks. Again, due to the strong winds, the fireworks were cancelled.

While we were disappointed that there won't be any parades/shows, We made good use of our time there.

Looking back at the pictures, I think that it was a really good trip. We got to go on many rides without the whole trip being too rushed.

We saw some characters too but as usual, they were too busy with the kids to entertain the adults.

While queuing for one of the rides, we noticed a crack on the wall and got worried but apparently, it was nothing to worry about.

This picture down here looks like the sun was setting right on the mountain.

Ta-da, here's us queuing for one of my favourite ride at DisneySea!

Our scoreboard! heehee....can you guess which is mine?

Lol~ and to end the night.....journey to the centre of the earth!

The ride was closed some time during the day because of the bad weather but it reopened at night and we managed to get on it.

After that, we got on the train to bring us back to the entrance.

More random shots~

Oo....looks like I shot someone.

I absolutely love the mermaid area.

Also, because it was Disney's 35th anniversary, there were many anniversary statues here and there.

That's me trying to imitate the Minnie that was on my entrance ticket.

One of the few rare full body picture of us.

Us with our entrance tickets.

It was my first time exploring the ship and castle.

We even got to light up some canons before we left~!!!

We were there for one whole day and the 3 of us have achieved our "most steps walked per day" on this very day (about 33k)!!! Needless to say, we were all super tired on the way back.

Day out with YL

We went to Ginza on a weekend and as usual, the roads are closed off to vehicles. Walk like the road belongs to your Grandpa time~!

As it was near Mother's Day, there was a stall selling flowers and this rainbow rose really caught our attention.

After that, we went to Yokohama for onsen. I first found out about SPA EAS online, as it was ranked No.3 in the whole of Japan in 2017. And, it was the only one that was near Tokyo.

Since it ranked so highly, we had to try it out. And it was pretty good actually. We were only there for about 2-3 hours. We tried their this aromatic steam room thing where by there's a guy in the room who will swing the towel around in order to heat up the room quickly. I was in there for a while and left before the thing ended as it got so hot that I couldn't breathe properly. YL actually stayed till the end.

We also enjoyed the onsen and relaxed in the TV room after that. Overall, it was a good experience. But I feel like this is the kind of place that you will need to spend the whole day at to fully make use of all the facilities there.

After that, we grabbed some Nagasaki chanpon for dinner. I had the normal chanpon with gyoza.

YL had the special chanpon that doesn't contain any noodles. It was interesting as I didn't know that they had such a dish. Good for people who are cutting down on carbs.
